Tonight's game exemplified how awful the officiating is in the NFL. As I said, entirely too many penalties and reviews. I am still trying to understand how Indianapolis came away with the ball on the onside kick, then it was reviewed (Indianapolis player still had the ball) and it still went to New England. I say do away with replay. Let the game go as it goes. These "refs" have too much leeway know and know they can rely on the instant replay. The flow of the game is awful with all the reviews and all the penalties They have taken away from the game now - such as these discussions about what is a catch and what is not. So I have heard that the ball can touch the ground on a catch as long as it does not help you catch it? But some of the catches that have been called back have been ridiculous. Something is bad wrong.
P.S. I had Indianapolis tonight so I am not complaining about that game but a general statement of the awful game that it is becoming.
