INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indiana Pacers forward Peja Stojakovic will start Game 3 Thursday night against the New Jersey Nets after sitting out Game 2 with a knee injury.
Stojakovic had a nagging right knee injury that flared up less than an hour before Game 2, and the Pacers told him to sit out of their 90-75 loss Tuesday night.

Indiana coach Rick Carlisle said Stojakovic responded well to treatment.
"He's feeling better," Carlisle said. "To what extent, I don't know. It's calmed down a little bit the last couple days."
Carlisle said Stojakovic didn't want to miss Game 2.
"He desperately wanted to play," Carlisle said. "This is what you play your career for. I know it really hurt him to sit out the other night."
Shooting guard Stephen Jackson also will start after hyperextending a finger on his shooting hand late in Game 2. He struggled in practice on Wednesday, but shot on Thursday and will play.
Backup point guard Jamaal Tinsley will miss Game 3 with a sore right Achilles' tendon. He played seven minutes in Game 2 after missing the previous four games.
"It looked like he labored a bit," Carlisle said. "I think it's a tough situation to not be in for a while and now be in the middle of a hotly-contested playoff series."
