Report: Harvin failed a drug test at the NFL Combine

Percy Harvin wowed the NFL talent evaluators with his speed, strength and feather-soft hands at the Gators’ Pro Day two weeks ago, but his draft stock may be taking a hit now with a report surfacing of Harvin failing a drug test at the NFL Combine.
Citing sources inside the NFL, the Mock Draft Web site NFLDraftBible.com reports that Harvin was one of at least four people to test positive for marijuana two months ago in Indianapolis, along with Illinois CB Vontae Davis, UTEP kicker Jose Martinez and Boston College DT B.J. Raji, whose name also came out yesterday in a separate report from Sports Illustrated.
In a separate article on its Web site, NFLDraftBible also reports that USC linebackers Brian Cushing and Clay Matthews tested positive for steroids.
The five non-kickers are all currently listed as first-round picks in the ESPN.com mock draft. It is unclear how much their draft stock will be affected by these reports, if the reports are accurate, though one source said it brings up “serious character issues” for a player to fail a drug test when he knows he has one coming up.
The NFL’s drug policy states that a positive test for street drugs, which includes marijuana, enters a player into the initial stage of the NFL’s drug program, making him subject to random testing and a fine or suspension if he tests positive a second time.
Harvin’s agent, Joel Segal, has not returned an e-mail sent on Wednesday seeking comment.
