They have had a blessed couple of years but the cracks and (ty)law of averages are going to catch up with them. Like the Baltimore Superbowl Team, what appears to be replacable players have left, but their not replacable. The Sched brings in Oakland on the 1st week, they will beat the Pats, then a trio of games which will leave them not only on 0-4 but crippled with injuries. Billy Cheek wont have anyone to turn to and by week 7, the bye, they will be 0-6 and throw the towel in. By this time, Miami, without the play calling of Wantstats, will have gone unbeaten at 6-0. Surprisingly, Buffalo are in 2nd place at 5-1, not on the expected running of Willis but the 1000yds in 6 games scrambling of new QB Lostman. Herm will still have his head in its shell until as usual, its too late.

MIAMI TO WIN AFC EAST: HALF BANKROLL @ 100/1 ( my local of 20 years) :103631605

the pats are no locks, but the fish? You would have come off less crazy if you took the jets or bills.

They can't help but finish first this year in the AFC East (though admittedly, the Jets should mnake it interesting). It's Indy they need to worry about (I mean, how many times can Peyton sh*t ther bed before he hgas a good game vs. them?).

100/1 for Dolphins to win the division sounds like solid value, but I doubt any online book would hang that #.

Pats lose both coordinators, but they are still a very loaded team. Nobody can assure another Super Bowl this season, but they are certainly a top 5 contender.

All beware of the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars as both are very capable of making it deep into playoffs.

Pats TE Ben Watson their #1 pick in 2004 out of Georgia, he's healthy and expected to be an impact player this year....unless this team is decimated with injuries they will still be right near the top...

Last year it was Cory Dillon who was the newcomer who was clearly the difference maker for the Pats...the offense actually should be better this season...how motivated will they be ?

What would possess anyone to think the Fish could win a division right now? They still have dead wood to weed out, maybe next year they can make the sustainable move upwards. The chasing they are doing for a QB is very telling though. If I were them I would fix up the other holes and when the team is relatively complete then take your shots at a real QB, not some backup you hope could turn into something.

The detroit Lions will be a playoff team as a team with that many weapons has to make progress one would think. But the Pats are loaded with veterans and talent, to say they come out and fall flat on their faces is somewhat of a overstatement. The Pats get to the 2nd rd of the playoffs but no title this year. :nopityA:
