All you needed was either
1. no onside kick and they could have run the clock out
2.Brady to make a 1st down and run the clock out after failed onside kick
3. missed field goal
4. Td by Tampa on last play.
But nope.....ugggghhhhh
Yes but if one of the top 3 happened Pat's would have stragized differently. If they were up 3 instead of 9 they would not have punted when they had a 51-yard kick. And they would've gone for it on 4th and 3 -- where they are probably a better than 50/50 team.
So this what-ifs are a little decieving. If Tampa played good offense for the first 3.5 qtrs, when they had 80 yards, no TDs and 0-7 on third down, they would;ve won. If Evans didn't get stopped by Gilmore for most of the game....those are bigger than a couple individual plays.
Further, the Pat's gave them 7 points on a shitty penalty on 3rd and 20. So the Pat's have about a million "if only one of these happened" excuses as well.
All that said, the TB kicker cost me 2.4 units last week. So he should be cut. But if he makes those kicks, Pat's play more aggressively and I think probably win (save for the 56 yarder at the end of half, which was based on those crazy penalties).
Pat's defense showed they are probably average, and not historically bad. The o-line is the bigger issue.
