Maybe you could throw the old fedora on and give me a quasi-official update on a few Rx advertising books:

HomeBets- what is the exact status of this Rx advertiser ?

Royal - has this book made a full recovery, and would you recommend it as a place to play at ?

SirBet - is this book still fully recommended, given that it has hosted, and still is hosting, what the Rx considers to be a "stiff book", E-winner ?

SportsBettingTrivia - what is your opinion of this book ? I don't hear much feedback about this book, and I notice there is a payout complaint about them today (For disclosure purposes, I currently play with them, and have received a couple of decent sized payouts from them over the last couple of months).

And if you've got so much free time, go count how many posts I've made at OGD in the last 3 weeks - I would bet I've made more posts at the Rx during this time period (not that it matters - except to you, I guess).

lander why doesn't this site just block the IP address from down the alley..so they can post and ask all the questiions they want but can't use it for generating traffic for down the alley. I would think that is fair.

Here is a post I made yesterday at OGD, in a thread about the Rx moving threads to the Rubber Room:

"I've got my own mind - if a particular site's got some useful info, I read it. The odd time I've got something useful to add, I'll post it.

I don't participate in "site wars" (mainly because I don't think I "belong" to one particular site), and I personally think that OGD goes a little overboard in its criticism of the Rx.

But it's absolutely bizarre what's been happening at the Rx the last few months.

I've been reading the Rx for about 15 months, and posting since last December, and I don't recall anything close to the mass exodus / banning / voluntary exits from the site like I've been seeing in the last 3 or 4 months. Even with the regulars that remain there, a lot of them are posting far less than in the past.

The moderators brush it off by saying "People Come / People Go / Same Old Story", but it's got to be more than that, and I don't think I'm imagining it."



If you think this is "bad mouthing" the Rx, well, you're wrong. If I've got a complaint or a gripe with the Rx, I'll post it right here.

I CHALLENGE YOU to find one post, just one, over at OGD, where I bad mouth the Rx (and I don't just mean in the last week ... or the last month ... I mean since the very beginning). Run along now and find one - if you do, I'll personally apologize to the Rx.

As I mentioned in my post, I've got a mind of my own ... do you ?

The Mods and Ab hate to see posters leave I know this for a fact. The posters are the life of this site and are respected as such. I have enjoyed your informative posts at the RX , for what thats worth.

There are so many screwed up books out there, I know Patrick and other mods keep busy helping other people out with their issues (and many of those don't even get to the forum). So I am not much for the "call-out" style of the first post.

But I too would like to hear Patrick's view of these books, especially Royal as a lot of players, myself included, play or have played with them.

Halifax - If that is the case then I sincerely apoligize.
It's just that I've seen many posts there lately BASHING the MODs here and other posters etc. Childish stuff that hurts ALL posting forums.

And I've seen many threads started here...just so you guys can link to them from down the alley.

BTW if I could talk out of my ass I wouldn't be here posting...I'd be making millions in Vegas (I'm sure Pepe/Uncle/etc is going to love to cut& paste this one LOL)
Or I'd be running for political office somewhere.

Hal is one of my "loyal fans", I ask my wife every day if she left some guy name Halifax for me. Anyway no big deal, I believe in giving these guys some air time and they aren't unreasonable questions....

First off none of us know the "exact status" of any book. Anyone who claims they do and is not the guy cashing the checks is blowing sunshine up your anal cavity. At the RX (and I assume most sites) one person decides who's banner is hung and who is not hung - Ken. None of the mods or anyone else has that responsibility. Now I do admit every chance I get if I have an opinion I make my known but this is Shrink's baby and he's the one who lives and dies by the decisions. With that disclaimer in place....


HomeBets - if you find out let me know. We have been asking about this book for a while. I have asked Ken myself on the phone and he was looking into it. Once he said Buzz was going to get with him on information he had and that is last I heard. If you know the real deal fill us in. I agree they shouldn't be up there based on what I know, or should I say don't know about them.

Royal - no crystal ball but my guess is they are fine. When books have a desire to run off with money they usually go about it a different way. The fact they are still here and accomplished everything asked of them speaks loudly to me. Royal from what I can see is a fighter and here to stay. Not playing there right this moment but have in the past and would do so in the future without hesitation.

SirBet - when I raised hell about Buckeye hosting Wagers Paradise it was reinforced to me then that the hosting book would not be responsible in any way for the books they rent space to. I didn't want to hear it then especially since WP posted on the forum they were affiliated with Buckeye, but after speaking with everyone I realized that was indeed fair. We can't shoot Corby for the actions of EWinner no more than we can shoot Buckeye. I hope books would take seriously who they "rent office space" to but in the end that is their alternative to do that. On a related note we have established communications with EWinner and if nothing else clearing the air on everything. If anything noteworthy develops I will post to it out here.

SportsBettingTrivia - absolutely zero idea about this book, just being honest. Never played there and know nothing about them. If there is a slow pay going on I will make sure Shrink knows about it if he doesn't already.
