every table I'm at ppl are claiming others are hacking using scanners and are predicting the cards to come or see who has what.

Is this possible? Where are these scanners? How could this be if it is true and why would anyone play online if it is hackable?

thanks.

Dont believe them, not happening! You can find many websites selling things for 40 or 50 dollars, but they are all BS.

Scanners to see thru cards? I dont think that is possible. I think you gotta get access to partypoker server first in order to do that and even if you manage to hack into the server, there are hundreds and thousands of tables... might be kinda hard to track.

Anyway, I just receive a BIG mouse pad from Intertops today. Its pretty cool the pad also shows poker hand rankings and hands to play in for early, middle and late position. They kinda share network with partypoker wOOhoo :dancefool

strange then, alot of players I sit with are convinced they are real and ppl are cheating with them. I agree it is highly unlikely but I hoped someone here knew more about them.

You have to be stupid to think people can't cheat at PP. If there are hackers good enough to hack into CIA sights beleive me there are hackers that have hacked into PP. I don't know about scanners but there definitley are people good enough in computer hacking to have a major advantage at PP.

alot of people i know are also convinced. They are also awful poker players who think that they only lose because the site is fixed. I mean why else would they lose with pocket aces??

You can be sure that anyone that has developed a way at cheating on PP would not tell a sole. I wouldnt tell my own wife. Do you know the millions of dollars you could make if you could cheat on party poker? why would anyone share that information and risk getting exposed.

I think what people are referring to are actually the various "bots" that do little more than tell the player their win %age based upon the # of players still in the hand, and the cards that are visible.

Still considered to be cheating by many (including the poker sites), but definitely not as blatant as the cheating that you are referring to....which I doubt happens, at least not on any type of a large scale.

I beg your pardon primeT. I got hosed about 3 times this week with pocket A's.....I'd go all in and and get hosed by some retard with a pocket 2,8 off suit that calls and gets full house or a set..(this happned to me at ultimate bet).
A,K same thing.
I easily lost more times than won doing that, and I play a tight no bluff game, and had enough hands to show that I wasn't a bullshitter..so i don't know what the fxck they were doing calling my all-ins.
Everything I've read and learned the awful poker playing was done by them or the site is just plain cheating ya.

pat...i have been subject to the same sh!t...no longer play online to many whacks playing which takes away from the game imo...to much dumb luck for me...much rather hit the local casino and be in a tight game...at least the table respects the game...

Maybe cus all they got is a frickin pair????? When im at pp i wish everyone had an ace because their guaranteed to ride it to the river...and lose.

there is a program out there that gives you stats on sit and go players at pp. thats it stats only..lets you know if your playing with fish or sharks...

now suppose you did hack into the site. could you see the cards and play at the same time? could you hack in, see the cards and CHANGE the cards too??? and by the way do this without pp noticing your winning every hand...not impossible matbe but if i can do that im hacking the ny stock exchange or at least neteller..screw pp.

your friends lose because everyone does..this b/s about "im making 300 an hour at pp" is just that BULLSHIT. they win 300 this hour and lose 150 the next 3 and then go right a book about the 1 winning hour...its no different than sportsbetting, you eek out a small profit every week your doing better than 97% of the players there i assure you.

Ok, I admit it, I was smart enough to hack into Party Poker, but instead of sitting at 8 different 20-40 games all day making money, I have decided to market the product for 40 bucks a pop.

Information bots yes - hacking into a game or reading pocket cards I personally do not buy. Even teams with a single player getting best play option from a partner operating how to play software. Boderline cheating but no sure way to get rich.

Party Poker has one of the sharpest Poker minds in the industry behind them, Mr. Mike Sexton. He is also one of the most honorable men on the planet. The room is "raking in" millions of dollars per year. It is in PP's best interest to keep the games fair. They regularly conduct log-file reviews of any suspected fraud. A person or machine capable predicting flops would be very obvious to the PP security team.

I know way too many players that are experiencing expected results at PP to believe anything unscrupulous has any longevity.

Online players have improved signifigantly in the last 12-18 months. If you are losing, it is far more likely that you have weak areas in your game. The games at Party are still very profitable if you are good enough.

Guys.. they are not real cards turned upside down. You are looking at a 1-dimensional picture (gif) of the back of a playing card.

Those still not convinced should purchase a program called pokertracker. It will track all of your hands and you will see that you win with pocket aces the correct percentage of plays. You get dealt aces and every other hand the correct percentage of times (within normal variance). I have the program and my ratio of winning with pocket aces is higher than any other hand and is right at the correct percentage. yes i have lost with them and lost big, but my winnings with pocket aces are more than any other starting hand.

Here is a bad beat for you, i was playing at a NL 100 table (6 max) with some whacko a few months back. He was making crazy raises with almost anything and had close 1000 before i got to the table. I was able to build my stack from 100 to 300 against the other players in about an hour. I was waiting for the right spot to get this maniac. I get dealt AA and make a pretty large preflop bet, he moves all in with Q-4hearts, i call. he hits a flush. I was pretty damn pissed, but its poker. AA only wins about 83 percent of the time against Q4suited. That means you are SUPPOSED to lose about 1 out of 5 times. Those arent astronomical odds.

For the most part, if you want to avoid bad beats, play at the higher limit tables as you will find better players there. You need to realize that when you are playing in these $33 tourney and such, that you are going to be playing against some very weak players and they are going to make catches against you. The thing is that if you are a better player, you will eventually get the money. I use to get pissed off when some jerk would hit a 2 outter and then I would go on tilt and piss away more chips, now when a guy does that, I just make a note of it on my database and look for him the next time I am on.
