I dont see how the Party skins will survive. Went to Empire last night, less than half the tables they used to have, waiting lists for all tables were 8-11 players deep....multi tablers were dominating everything..same guys at like 6-8 different tables..the 6 max tables were manned by (what looked to me like) teams of 4 or 5 players who lie in wait for an unsuspecting fish or 2 to sit down then they wipe him out in a few hands...even the tourny attendance seemed to be way down...barely making the guarantees....they obviously are not going to get many new signups...i see today they are offering 100% signup bonuses....Intertops traffic is way down as well...

I feel sure Empire has every lawyer they can find trying to get access to the Party tables back but if it was cut and dried im sure a suit would be filed by now...
Intertops probably doesnt even know it happened.they dont even read players email and could care less who stays, comes or goes.they just set it up and threw it out there....

This move by Party may have changed the face of online poker forever in their quest to dominate every facet of the buisness in order to keep their stock price up so they can make millions off their option purchases and sells.....

I knew once they went public it would be the players who got the shaft.....

Yep, the skins are dying. The only players left are multi-tabling bonus chasers trying to work through the last of the Multipoker "Madness" bonuses. Empire is leaving soon, too. They bought Noble Poker a while ago and as I understand it will be switching to Noble's software platform at the end of this month

It certainly hurt me. I had a nice rakeback deal at a skin but I just don't want to endure the rock garden that the ex-Party network has become.

I don't really blame Party; they made a move worthy of Michael Corleone to improve their business. The skins have prospered in the past by luring Party players away.

Pokerstars will benefit a little. I only wish UltimateBet and Paradise would wake up and start competing for some of the dissatisfied skin players. Maybe they will...

it sux now

:sad3: everything has changed now since the party poker divorce. I usually play at intertops but there is not any tourni action there now. The only thing intertops has is their is their regular tourni line up that starts at around 4 in the afternoon.

The cards and the players have all changed. Its more of a ace scrap go all in or call strong bets with j8 suited bs-a-thon.

Whats worse is that the computer looks like its rewarding this type of play. I do the one table tournies now and I think I can predict who will win after about 4 hands.

If your not in the poker gods have blessed you seat .... your screwed.

I think I am moving to Party

Intertops has really been crazy lately i agree....i remember about a yr ago it acted just like this....as bad as i want to try to keep these threads "serious" from now on, i'd almost swear they favoring new players or we're playing against the house....ive never heard of the chip leaders 90% of the time...and it seems the regulars get knocked out very early.....i played a cpl freerolls last night jus cus i wasnt using that computer at the time and it just has a totally different feel to the game.....

on a side note the late night limit games at party have been very good lately..but the fish are killing me in the 10-20 buck tournys....

Could you explain in more detail what Party Poker did which is killing the skins?

The party skins used to operate using the same tables at party. So if you signed up at empire and played at empire you were actually playing against players at party and vice versa.
The recent decision made it so that players at empire no longer play against players at party poker, they play against each other (meaning empire, eurobet and multipoker players play against each other but not against party poker players.).

the problem for the party skins is that their player base was made up of players looking to get "rakeback" and still play against the fish at party poker. NOw that you can no longer play against the fish at party poker they are losing customers and the games at these sites are pretty bad.
