The new generation of parents just aren't disciplining their kids enough. I understand that old school parents were rough sometimes so their kids make it a point to be more lenient and ''better'' parents but you need to lay down the law for kids. Spare the rod , spoil the child. Okay no you shouldn't hit them but damn, I see parents with their kids at the mall or wherever and they just let them run wild, sceaming, whining for stuff, touching everything. In my days, if you touched something at the store you got smacked on your hand and you wouldn't do it again.

Kids nowadays have no respect for authority, whether it's teachers, police officers (I mean especially if it's police officers, you're almost not cool if you're a teen and don't hate the police, wtf is that, these people keep our streets safe)

Nothing is sacred to them, THEY DON'T LIKE HARD WORK, they expect everything for as little effort as possible, entitlement issues, can't finish what they start cause when the going gets tough they get going and I can go on forever.

Please, if you're planning on having kids, discipline them, they won't love you any less.

Rant of the day over.

His father either took the belt to him too little or too often. Definitely fucked him up good.

Every generation says the same thing.

I've also noticed parents aren't teaching their kids how to properly use apostrophes either.

Nothing wrong with our kids, it's the old people that are clueless. Prior generations always like to point the finger. My kids are better behaved than I ever was, doing better in school, and smarter now than the OP will ever reach in his life time.

Sorry Reno....have to disagree

Kids today are not afraid of anything and resort to violence as an answer....

I grew up in the hood in L.A. during the 80's 90's, maybe I'm just in a better area now, but we were doing drugs, hustling, and violent to people that crossed us. I don't see that in millennials at all. Young people today are healthier, more intellectual, better spoken, make better decisions about sex, ect. I have yet to experience a random violent act from a young person in a long time. When I was in my twenties I was always on guard every where I went, not the case in today's world, not in my experience.

+1000

I think I'd sum it up like this. The smart people are smarter today than ever, but the dumb people are dumber today (and in the news more with 24/7 news cycle obviously)

Yep, dumb people have a bigger platform today than they ever had that's for sure.
