The full timeline of events, with corroborating evidence of the legitimacy of these screengrabs, is here. Here's why it all looks convincing:

* The emails to Ivy Frye, a Palin aide who's mentioned in the earlier email stories specifically wondering how best to hide her correspondence with the governor.
* The attached contact list (below) features an email address for husband Todd Palin that is legit. As well as an apparently genuine phone number for Bristol Palin and an address for Beth Leschper, Palin's deputy communications director.
* The email from Amy McCorkell, a known associate of Palin's from Wasilla who might have the governor's personal email address.
* Emails to and from Lt Governor Sean Parnell about a local radio talk host.
* Calls to the phone number listed for Bristol Palin apparently go to her voicemail.
* The public profile for the gov.palin address dates its last update to April of this year?well before she became McCain's running mate. So if it's a hoax, it's a hoax that began long before anyone outside of Alaska cared about Palin.
* We haven't seen these family photos before. Have we?
* The previously accessible public profiles for gov.sarah@yahoo and gov.palin@yahoo were both deleted at the same time.

She's been accused of doing it in the past.

look at this article

The tech-savvy governor has one of the devices (which allow users to read and send e-mails) for state business and another for personal matters, but those worlds intertwine.

Palin routinely uses a private Yahoo e-mail account to conduct state business. Others in the governor's office sometimes use personal e-mail accounts, too.

The practice raises questions about backdoor secrecy in an administration that vowed during the 2006 campaign to be "open and transparent."

Im starting to think that PALIN and Mccain may be in some DEEP DEEP Doo-doo today, havent heard much from either Candidate and they Could be Crapping themselves knowing that the information contained in those emails could be in the hands of hackers and posted on the internet soon...

My guess is that we havent seen the end of these emails and will see more in the coming days revealing Palins true character... They are probably freaking out.

I can just picture John and Sarah cruising along in a unarmed vehicle (Because McCain thinks this is safe) driving through Iraq while they try to figure out how to check email with a .gov address on a blackberry totally oblivious to IED's.

Playing devil's advocate here, I don't really see too much that's earth shattering.

Don't see any of the diehard righties saying much, so maybe it has legs, but I don't see it.

What is important is her ability to govern the most demanding country on the face of the earth, should McCain go down. I have my doubts. The question all undecideds should ask is "who will these people surround themselves with, who will be in their cabinet?"

The converse holds true for BO and Biden.

I happen to agree with Iococca (an op-ed I read a few months ago)....essentially we, as voters who are deciding on a TEAM, should have privy to the folks that both sides will hire to complete the picture.

I am not endorsing either candidate, I haven't seen enough yet, but I don't think Palin was a wise choice. It may be politically savy and expedient, but I'm most concerned about future performance.

It continues to appear that Sarah Palin was honestly cruising along up there in Alaska pretty much doing business however she wished since she was a popular elected official in the most remote state in the Union.

Then suddenly she's tapped to be VP nominee, but she's utterly unprepared and now the questionable methods she was operating as a state governor are being laid out for the rest of the country to evaluate.

Yes, I think she honestly had absolutely no clue that she was going to be named until the very day before. In many ways the whole thing was very unfair to her to throw her into all of this. McCain had 6 months to choose and he flip-flops the last day and picks someone who was not prepared or ready. McCain's judgment is off the board bad.

Karl Rove : "John if you want to win, pick this person."

McCain : "OK.."
