Hey guys, I played Pai Gow at a casino the other night, basically cause a friend forced me to, and I have to admit I had fun. Considering y'all are mostly gamblers, I thought I'd ask for any and all opinions you may have regarding this game. So go ahead, anything I should know, should I stay as far away as possible? Whats up with it?

5 card hand and 2 card hand, your 2 card hand cant be better than ur 5. its pretty simple, if you are flat betting each hand dont think you really have a chance of making any money over the long period. What i like to do is wait for the dealers to get a few nice hands in a row, then start increasing my bets each time till i lose.

Goodgame for value. Have to lose both hands to lose or win both to win.

House rakes 5% on all winning hands, dealer wins a push. you can be the dealer if you wish.

The game kicks ass. Its a bit intimidating at first, but easy to pick up quick if you have half a brain and know poker hands.

The game is much more laid back and there arent as many hands dealt per hour as a game like blackjack. Many pushes in this game.

This all helps cut down on the losses and allows you to receive more free drinks in Vegas before you have a chance to lose alll your money.

It's a good game to play if you don't have a lot of money and a lot of time to kill...

Played it a few times. It's ok, but like Kidman said, you're not coming home in a Brinks Truck !!

For a player that wants to give a Casino "Time" for Comps ....You can grind your way to a free room or Meal. :toast:

one of my buddies used to play that game all the time. I always told him they should call this game Tie-Gow Poker instead of Pai Gow Poker.
