INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Pacers starters Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley are expected to play in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals despite nagging injuries.

Tinsley left practice early on Saturday to have an MRI on his injured left leg, which has hamstring, knee and ankle problems.

O'Neal practiced with a brace on his sprained left knee, but said he fully intended to play against Detroit in Game 5 on Sunday in Indianapolis.

O'Neal sprained his left knee in the first quarter of Game 4 when he landed awkwardly after jumping for a rebound with Detroit's Ben Wallace.

"It feels pretty good," said O'Neal, who has had treatment and medication to help keep the swelling down. "It's not even an issue."

Tinsley seems to be a bigger question mark, though Carlisle said, "I don't anticipate him not being able to start."

Tinsley has been slowed by his left leg nearly all series. He sat out the fourth quarter of Game 4 and said afterward that his "left leg is gone," but he planned to play in Game 5.

The Pacers tied the best-of-7 series 2-2 with a convincing 83-68 win in Detroit on Friday.

I think the Pacers were -5/5.5 for Game 1.

Now the series is 2-2, and the Pacers are "only" -3.5.

But I think they're adjusting the line for the low-scoring series. Giving the Pacers 5 points would be like 9 points in a Kings/Mavs game.

Game five could easily be another 150 point game. Scores to date:

2 Mon. May 24 @ IND DET 72, IND 67
3 Wed. May 26 @ DET DET 85, IND 78
4 Fri. May 28 @ DET IND 83, DET 68
Series tied 2-2

Tinsley caused to much chaos early in game 4. TO's, missed shots, and bad passes. He may need to ride the pine. He was starting to remind me of Mark Jackson.

O'Neal will start for sure according to ESPN News. How effective will he be remains to be seen (obviously).

So a scoring of some 207 points makes the spread 1.8 times bigger than a scoring of some 161 points?
