Right off the top as mentioned elsewhere.

I'll take the Calbears+12/Stanford. I just think the Bears look ready to give the Cardinal some of that old what for.
Sonny Dykes sure has done his typical outstanding work with his offense. I don't expect them to play like pushovers
as in recent years.

Utah-3/UCLA It's not going to be a good day for the Bruins. Not at Rice-Eccles where the Utes play their best football.
As Ute QB Trevor Wilson goes so go the Utes. You can take that to the bank. I assure you that coach Wittingham has
been working his defense to the limit and will be on their case after allowing Anu Soloman and the Wildcats to drill his Ute
defense for 37 points last week. If I know anything about Wittingham, he won't let that happen twice.

That Oregon win (in Palo Alto) last Saturday was quite impressive. In what was suppose to be a rebuilding-year following the Mariota era, the Ducks knocked-off a very good Stanford team and improved their record to 7-3 after previously being relegated to the "scrap-heap of College Football earlier in the season. All the Helfrich haters might be whistling a different tune now days. He has guided the team through a transition period that would be challenging for any coach. The Oregon football program is for real. If they can knock-off USC at Autzen next week and beat in-state rival Oregon State on Thanksgiving weekend they might be flirting with a long-shot possibility of a Conference playoff berth...whoever would have thought.

Continued success with your rehab Conan.....I know what you are dealing with.....My wife is an Amputee.

Thanks Mack,

I think what you saw was the same old same old but after enough time has elapsed for Vernon Adams to heal up and learn the system. His accuracy is amazing.
Taj Griffin, Charles Nelson and let's not forget about Royce Freeman all carried their share of the load which made QB Vernon Adams life much easier.

Like I said, it's back to normal. (Also it shows you what a good QB can do for a team.)

I absolutely love your analysis on the pac 12. I knew the ducks would give Stanford a tough game but that was quite unexpected in a great way. I think Stanford is pretty shellshocked right now and cal will be chomping at the bit for this game. Do I think cal wins this game, no.... Ultimately I think Stanford finds a way to win late, but I agree that cal will give them all they can handle. I see this as a one score win by Stanford late. the duck fan inside of me hopes cal plays out of their minds and Stanford comes out flat and gets beat so the ducks can have a shot at the pac 12 title, but I just don't think that's realistic.

utah is a fantastic play in my opinion. I couldn't agree more with what you said so I'll leave it at that. Best wishes in your recovery sir. Good day

Alright, Utah is down to 2. Just hit it again if you've already bet this side.
If you recall, last week the UCLA money kept pushing the line vs WSU?
Same idea here. Some people never learn.

Great analysis, no doubt I will be a huge Cal fan this week.

How soon they forget... Wasn't it Larry Scott the Pac-12 commish who kicked off this realignment and mega TV contract numbers? (following the Longwhorn's deal with ABC)

Knowing how the man rolls "you ain't seen nothing yet."

My two cents worth ... Arizona, up until Saturday, had not beat anyone that is really very good. They were pummeled by UCLA, Stanford and Washington. They beat a team, I believe is a regressing Utah squad, that is 2-2 in it's last four games. Utah couldn't take advantage of a back up quarterback who completed one pass in one quarter plus two overtimes. Travis Wilson's slightly above average skills were not enough to rally the Utes vs. Arizona. UCLA does seem to be a bit enigmatic but has generally played better on the road where they handily beat this same Arizona team. Josh Rosen has big time qb skills and I think he will be the difference in UCLA winning in this spot.

Was the P12 essentially eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday?

(from ESPiN)

So, College Football Playoff selection committee, you're telling the Pac-12 there's a chance?
The third iteration of the CFP rankings released Tuesday night didn't deliver a fatal blow to the Pac-12, as most expected. Stanford tumbled from seventh to No. 11, and Utah fell from 10th to 13th, but they remained within striking distance of the top four, should things start to get a little crazy.
It goes like this: If Stanford wins out, beating California on Saturday, No. 4 Notre Dame in the regular season finale and Utah in the Pac-12 championship game, it will have put together an extremely robust résumé for a two-loss team. It would probably match up well with some one-loss team and clearly eclipse other two-loss teams.
At 11-2, Stanford would need to move up six spots. While Utah might be too far away, the Cardinal could perhaps find a path.

Say Ohio State wins out, beating Michigan State and Iowa along the way ... North Carolina beats Clemson in the ACC title game ... Baylor or Oklahoma State end up as a one-loss Big 12 champion. Maybe Florida loses to Florida State and then upsets Alabama in the SEC title game.
Hmm.
It's not inconceivable, particularly with a strong finish after playing what should turn out to be one of the nation's toughest schedules.
The Cardinal needs Utah to win the South, which means it wants No. 24 USC to lose to No. 23 Oregon on Saturday. Stanford would strengthen its potential résumé if Utah is ranked as highly as possible for the Pac-12 title game. It also wants the Ducks to finish strong to improve the quality of its late-season loss.
[h=1]More CFP Rankings Reaction[/h]Playoff breakdown: If the games were today
The top four remained the same in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. How would all the New Year's Six games look if the season ended today?

Five observations from the third CFP rankings
Don't sleep on Notre Dame-Stanford, the best bet for the Big 12 and the ACC's one true hope are among the talking points from the latest rankings.
It also would help if the Pac-12 added a couple more ranked teams -- Washington State and perhaps the winner of UCLA-USC.
Yes, there are a lot of variables. Stanford, of course, could have avoided these variables if it had not been upset last weekend at home by Oregon, but it can't change the past.
It can, however, cross its fingers over the future, as the CFP selection committee has provided hope.
Not good hope, but closer to one out of a hundred instead of one out of a million.

I agree that the home field advantage should be the difference in that Utah vs UCLA game, tough spot for the Bruins coming off that last second loss at home to Wazzu. Huge game for Utah still with a great chance to win the Pac-12 South division, going with the Utes-2.
