been a joke outside of my team USC! People on the west coast like myself, always wonder why the nation doesnt take the Pac 10 serious, and last nights Oregon debacle is a prime reason why! Can anyone in the PAC 10 beat Boise outside of USC? I expect at least two more PAC 10 teams to lose outright this weekend against OOC opponets.
Posts like this sure help matters. Considering the Pac 10 has one of the best, if not THE best records against OOC foes, and actually schedule REAL teams, that should be respect enough. 5-0 in last years bowls was what, a fluke? Oregon could have scheduled a usual SEC pushover opponent, then what? Maybe more Pac 10 schools should load up on pushovers like a Florida does.

I think the OP is a litte off, but you have to admit it is USC and then everyone else far behind.
Pac 10 hasn't had any other teams play in a BCS Bowl game since 2003, except USC.
Also, looking at the PAC 10's 5-0 from bowl games last year, was a little bit deceiving:
Cal beats an average Miami team in Home game
Arizona beats BYU
Oregon- Best win of the Bowl games, defeats an overrated Okie Lite team (Big 12, top 4 teams went 1-3 and were a play away from being 0-4)
USC-Good win over PSU
Oregon state- Solid win
Good wins by the conference, but with the exception of USC, they didn't play any major programs. Also, Holiday Bowl is PAC #3 vs Big 12 #5.
I am not discouting the Pac 10, but don't forget the MWC owned them last year. I think it is stupid to say the Pac 10 sucks, but the reality is it is the SEC and then everyone else.
Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10 have many weaknesses.
Listen Jerky, I go to every USC home game, so I am not a degenerate SEC loyalist! FACTOID...BOISE owns the PAC 10, period! FACTOID....outside of SC, tell me one year in and year out strong PAC 10 team, and please dont tell me CAL since they fold like a house of cards. As far as my prediction of two more OOC losses this weekend for the SEC, I was talking about favorites and you can book it that two more PAC 10 teams will lose outright!
"jerky" was witty. :missingte I'm not saying you're an SEC loyalist. I'm a 15 year season ticket holder and a Cardinal and Gold member, so I'm an SC homer / fan to the highest degree. Fact is, Oregon played like crap, but went to a really difficult place to win, and a school that could be a top 10 team. The Pac 10 is a great conference. It's been down lately, but look at some of the facts the past ten years instead of listening to the espn crew tell you how great the SEC is and how the Pac 10 blows.
MYOPIC....Fans always make my spinchter pucker! Get past the fact the outside of USC the PAC 10 is a wallowing cesspool of mediocrity and has been for nearly a decade. The excuse of Oregon went into a hostile environment is such a MYOPIC fallacy since Boise punked the Ducks at Oregon last year. I never thought that theday would come that PAC 10 fans have become as MYOPIC, as the Big 10 fans whom still think the Big 10 is an elite conference.
