Why should an uninformed vote, like Jointpleasure's, or that of some other illiterate redneck living in an Alabama trailor park have the same worth as an informed, intelligent American, like myself?

I purpose that all voters have to take a political (both domestic and international) aptitude test. If they score 100% they get a full vote, if they score 40% they get .4 of a vote, and so forth.

It is truly the only fair way.

But if it was based on intelligence you would need at least 2 conservative voters to cancel out each liberal voter.

Eek,
In fairness, there's still hope that criminals like Kathleen Harris or Jeb Bush could stil try to cheat the system, even if it were perfected.

Naturally, you'd expect the less intelligent crowd to strongly resist such a perfect system.

Maybe a positive discrimination section in the questionaire with lots of swear words and questions about 'towelheads' etc would boost their pass rate.

Or maybe others don't share the opinion you have of yourself and others.

Clearly this is a great idea, as shown by our new voting system results :

Lander it's the liberals who can't read a ballot correctly, voting for Buchanan instead of Gore in Florida, then your buddy Jesse Jackson running down there and saying they've been disenfranchised. Dumb asses.

That was clearly the reason why Harris denied thousands of eligible black voters.

(whom of course are 90% democratic)

Since you have so much to gain, then why does this system scare you?

Oh, nevermind, I think we BOTH already know

I'd like Phadreus to chime in.

Clearly this is a theory that will never become reality, but nonetheless I am quite interested in hearing his thoughts on such a process.

Lander,

Do you think your plan (political aptitude test) would favor the Democrats...or the Republicans?

Funky,
In all honesty, I couldn't tell you, but certainly we would have a purer system.

The Dems are sterotypically either one of two polar opposites - incredibly smart or system abusers.

I think they would balance themselves out.

As for Republicans, I'm guessing here, but I think it would be similiar with the corporate world canceling out trailor trash.

I'm not sure it would necessarily favor either party.

Lander why don't you even be more "progressive" in your thinking, and streamline the process and have all non whites back to being only a 3/5 a person like it use to be?
Try that on for size Mr. Gobbels.

Speaking of Fla. the voting democrats down in that county with the "bad" ballots were mostly made of people that could spot a quarter at 100 yds. (if you know what I mean).

Is funny how that predominatley democrat county with democrat election officials thought those ballots were just fine for about the previous 50 elections or so...kind of like "they liked those ballots, before they didn't like those ballots."

Besides SLander if only smart people like you voted we would be on the wrong side of history with the Jimmy Carter and John Kerrys of the world leading the way.

Patriot,
That is exactly my point.

If my system were in tact John Kerry would have have been the Dem's nominee. I suspect Sen. Edwards would have been elected, but it's possible that Gov. Dean or Gen. Clark may very well have carried the nomination.

Believe me, I'd vote Republican against baby-killer Kerry versus just about any other candidate. But, unfortunately for the Klan, Bush is the last man in America that I will ever vote for.

I propose that anyone who spells the word 'propose' as purpose and who takes the word 'intact' and makes it into two words should be grateful they get the same 1.0 votes as the rest of us necks and prudes.

AND Patriot, if you actually believe that being a financial tightwad is characteristic of Jewish people like my own family, why are you afraid to not just say it out loud instead of coding your comments like a bigoted asshole?
