Carter...the worst President of our lifetime.

And Obama is lower?

Not very surprising for many of us.

This has been the worst transition in modern history...and now the health care debacle. :ohno:

Unfortunately, we can't just sit back and watch this train wreck and have a few laughs. That's because while we watch his poll numbers drop, he and his cohorts in Congress are trying to concoct more ways to pick our pockets.

I may be wrong guys but i do believe we are about to reverse this scheme....at least to some extent. Im seeing signs that this Govt may collapse before the end of the year.....They are getting desperate as they are finally being exposed...no not for what they really are but at least for what they are really doing. Im predicting the resignation of 1 of the top 3 heads of this country before Jan 1 10....i hope its all 3 but ill take em 1 at a time if we can get them....
The people have had enough and if any kind of a real leader emerges to lead the charge we can put these bozos on the street where they belong....

Bookmarked Gold

I'll file this in the folder with Loren78's prediction the World Will End by Oct 23, 2008; TRecall's prediction the World Will End by Nov 3, 2008 and TR's forecast that the entire American currency system will be ditched by "late June 2009".

Oh and it also includes "JoeC's" - LADIES & GENTLEMEN, THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - FRED DALTON THOMPSON!!!!

Carter...the worst President of our lifetime. BO has already passed
Carter for that dubious distinction.

Yeah cause 6 months is enough of an indicator to make these statements. Come on now. We gave Georgy boy 2 years before calling him the worst of all time.

Your post sounds reasonable enough...until you consider the damage done by Obama's own estimates.

In 6 short months he has laid the groundwork for a disastrous future.

All this spending is making me sick and seriously getting me to at least consider moving out of this country before the majority of my salary goes to taxes, so the government can waste it.

Regardless if you are a democrat, republican, or anything else, our country is just completely out of control. Why do we continue to throw money at things when we realize sometime later that there has been fraud, abuse, waste, and the things that were intended to fix arent fixed?

There is no doubt healthcare needs to be reformed but it needs to be well thought out and planned and not thrown together in a few weeks or months.

The first thing that needs to be changed is tort reform. That would control approximately 30 percent of the excess spending. Doctors practice defensive medicine and order unnecessary and repetitive tests to cover their butts when the overwhelming majority of the time they are not needed. Here is a basic example. A 22 year old male comes into the ER with chest pain. Well, that physician better order all of the tests to rule out the patient having a heart attack (EKG, cardiac enzymes X3, heck even maybe an echo and a stress test) because in the extremely small chance this patient has a heart attack, they will be sued. Obama does not want to address tort reform, maybe because he is a Democrat and most lawyers are Democrats and most physicians are Republicans.

The next thing that needs to be changed is all the books/policies needed to get payment from Medicare/Medicaid. You think the tax code is difficult? Figuring out payment for medical services is ridiculously complex and as we all hear is filled with fraud, abuse, waste. It is too damn complex. Healthcare people dont understand it so they hire people to do it and most of them barely understand it. There is a big problem here.

Now after all that is fixed that should reduce healthcare costs considerably to at least think about healthcare coverage for all. On that topic, if we have universal healthcare, EVERYONE should pay for it and the burden should not fall on the rich only. Right now, most people want it because they dont have to pay for it. Isnt that how it usually is? If you get something for free, GREAT, but once you have to contribute to it, it doesnt sound like a great idea anymore.

yeah. there was a poll on cnn.com yesterday that asked if you'd be willing to pay more taxes to get cheaper healthcare. at the time i voted, 66% had said no. out of the 66%, i wonder how many of them would be willing to tax their neighbor...

I was in Zermatt Switzerland about 15 years ago. A Swedish doctor told me how fortunate we Americans were. His thoughts being that in a socialist society like Sweden doctors make as much money as toll collectors, he envied the fact that in America producers we able to
keep a much larger proportion of income.

Obama is trying to go about changing that, lets hope he gets checked!

This is awesome. I am having such a good time.

Rewind to 2004 and 2006 a lot of us bitched about Bush and pointed out every bad thing we could while pubs defended everything up and down.

Now the tables have turned and everyone wants to be down.

All he had to do was not give billions to failed business. But that was a one time deal, something the other side would have done too

Then all he had to do was either offer the real health care reform he talked about a year ago. Or just not bother doing anything at all and his approval rating would be among the highest in history. Instead he tries to entrench us as deep as possible in the worst parts or our current system and he loses more popularity than anyone in history

All Clinton had to do was wait two years to get blowjobs from any woman, rather than one from a fat girl right then and he would have been seen as great. All Bush had to do was not start unwinnable wars and he would have been fine

These guys have so much luck and do so much so absolutely perfectly to get to where they are and then do one thing to fuck it all up

FUNK was only reefering to the busier times here at the RxForum, which prior to 2004 had about 1/4 the traffic.

Those of us most critical of Bush were pretty much on him solid right from summer 2001 when he was essentially doing nothing of note.

And his 12 month high point following 9/11/01 quickly faded when it became clear he was intent on using the U.S. military to "nation build", costing U.S. taxpayers hundreds of billions in very short order.

Current critics of Obama are fussing about how he's redirecting federal tax dollars to a wide variety of domestic-based programs.

At the end of the day, it's little different than the complaints we anti-BushCo folks had when he was redirecting federal tax dollars into using the U.S. military as mercenary forces in the Mideast. (And which Obama continues today in significant portion).

As I listen and read the horrified faux bleating of the Obamaphobes over this past year, I am humbled to realize that very similar bleats and cries of "this country is DOOMED" eminated from many people who I had previously looked to with respect during the first one to six years of BushCo.

"We" were often hyperbolic and hysterical, especially in those first five years.

And the Obamaphobes today are equally hyperbolic and hysterical.

One thing for sure - In the year 2013 and the year 2017, the USA will remain a great place to live, to raise a family and to build a business enterprise.

That is, for those who choose to do any or all of the above.

For those intent on forecasting their life in 2013 and 2017 as "doomed" or "in the shitter" or "under 100% control of the federal government" - well, there's really not much we can do to stop them from living out that reality if that is their wont.

:lolBIG:

"by nothing of note", do you mean the following?

The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Act of 2001? a bill that resulted in enormous tax cuts for everyone?

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 that was shepherded through the Senate by Ted Kennedy? and loved by the left?

Securing America's Future Energy Act of 2001? which did none of the environmental damages the loonies said it would. Passed the house in Aug 01, passed the Senate by an overwhelming margin a year or two later.

as anyone signed more sweeping legislation more quickly?

and all three bills went through the debate process, no back door bullshit like the current Retard in Chief.

as for Bush's popularity quickly fading after 2001, can you please reconcile that opinion with his reelection in 2004?

On a side bar, I love how lefties like too say the worst President ever or eight bad years, somehow forgetting he was reelected. I might suggest to you that the worst Presidents don't get reelected, they lose by a landslide. For example, somebody like that terrorist hugging peanut farming dipshit.
