OUCH... I JUST HAD TO PUT ONE OF MY LOCALS ON A TWO WEEK PLAN

SEEMS HE TOOK A BEATING ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AND HE SAYS I HIT HIM FOR THE MOST.

SO NOW I HAVE TO MEET HIM FOR HALF TODAY, AND GET THE REST NEXT WEEK.


THIS EVER HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE?

A couple of guys I knew put a local out of business back in 1993.

Don't know if they ever got paid in full but the game that put the book out of business was that thanksgiving day game in the snow between dallas and miami where Leon Lett fvcked up that blocked field goal and the fish covered.

It happened to me twice. Once I wound up getting paid the rest (although it took longer than a week - more like 2 months) and once I wound up not getting paid and the local went under. In any event, the is a MAJOR warning sign. I don't know about your situation, but a lot of times locals deal with clients who know each other and word would spread quickly that they aren't able to pay.

If you have other outs, I would suggest using them and tell your local that you will only use them once you get paid. When I wound up getting paid, the local later admitted to me that they were hoping that I would lose back what I was owed.

Been there done that. My advice don't ever let it happen again, post up with him if you must.

 

i dont actually post up anythign with him. its a credit type situation.

this happened to me once before and i did get the money. it was with a different guy though.

i already told him im not using him till i get the rest of the money and he is cool with that.

luckily i have two other local outs.

this has happened to me before and every time I have gotten paid. although sometimes it took a lot of nudging. but the key thing to remember is NOT to bet with the local until you are paid in full...and then maybe to make them your last out if you want to use them again.

also, if an out ever wants to delay meeting you for a week because of some cockamamie reason, say OK, we will meet next week and make sure you know that you won't bet with them until you are settled. basically, they are hoping that you will lose the money back to them..which I'm sure a lot of people fall for.

in all fairness, i have been playing with this guy for a couple years and he is strait forward and honest. i believe i will get paid the rest of the money.

funny thing is, his family is phucking loaded so i know he has access to money if he really needed it to pay up.
