I am all for a good dive every now and then. However, the call the other night on the actual diving penalty was terrible. Having a cross check and dive on the same play seems wrong to me.
However, if you think the Sabres are not hitting teams you are crazy. This team is playing more physical than I can remember.
They play as a team and the new system of penalties every 3 seconds during the regular season suited them fine.
So if you want to put on the Cup underneath Buffalo-Weakest Team ever to win the Cup in quotes from you Cincy fine-we will have to just "live" with that. And if the Sabres don't win the Cup maybe you can stare at Joe Thornton's name and you can ask them to write "best trade ever for the B's".
And one more comment--why would you bet on the "sissiest" team in hockey in a pivitol game 5 in the other team's building????

The Buffalo broadcasters brought up an interesting point. Can't remember the numbers, but Buffalo had won a large percentage (and number) of 1 goal games during the reg season. Ott had destroyed most of its competition (esp early in the year), but was below .500 in 1 goal games.

Playoff hockey & regular season hockey are not the same thing at all. One of my buddies is the funniest comedian you will ever meet. He makes people laugh till it hurts. One time he decided to try stand up comedy & he froze up in front of the crowd, coudnt perform. This is what the senators do every year.
You have to get dirty if you want to win playoff hockey, you have to make sacrifices, sacrifice the body, Ryan Smyth showed us how that is done ine edmonton the other day after getting 8 stitches & losing 3 teeth he set up the winner in OT for the oilers, NOBODY, does that for the sens.

emery cannot be blamed, HE WAS NOT GOOD, but he was not supposed to be there at all, he was not ready for this... very bad move by managment not getting another goalie when HASEK went down....
