OT: Torrent Downloads

Hey guys I am in need of a little help

I am trying to download some movie files though Bittorent but everytime I download a movie and attempt to play it on qiucktime the screen just stays white. Does anyone know why this is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you hear sound?

If you hear sound but can't see video (or vice versa) - go to divx.com and get their latest play (with codecs)

If there's no picture it is also probably a codec issue.

make sure you downloaded a valid torrent. A lot of movie files may contain viruses or are fake. Make sure the thing you downloaded it legit. If that's ok, then find the right codecs.

Unlike other p2p sharing networks - torrents is very effective at self policing and weeding out garbage.
