Did this for awhile last couple years but always started it late in the season. This year the OTs are coming in at a high rate early and I'm going to give it a go until it proves unprofitable.

Tonight I'm on these three to go extra minutes.

Boston/Edmonton +305 Bookmaker
Ottawa/Buffalo +330 5dimes
Chicago/Minnesota +345 5dimes

(playing all for a half unit each)

Actually Vic, one could make a case for the other two games getting to OT as well. The Isles are always up to play the Rangers and we could see a 2-2 type of game there, although if DiPietro is out that would be less likely. In LA I could see a 4-4 reg game, given the bunch of young snipers LA has, and Det has not been all that stingy on defense yet this year. ( The type of overall team D they play in the post-season requires a lot of effort and resposible play from the forwards. It is physically taxing to do that all game long, every game; this time of year it is easier to just play for most of the game-if it is necessary to tighten up in the 3rd period they can do it.)

It's over ntfixa. I keep hitting the key above the "O" and can't edit my pick once it's saved.

agreed megold but I chose to take the Rangers in regulation only because of the many injuries to the Islanders lineup. But you're right, the Isles/Rangers games are war no matter who wears the sweaters.

The price on the Kings to go OT, around +360, tempted me. I still have a couple hours to change my mind after seeing how I do in the early games.

Good calls by Canuck on the B's/Oil game and megold on the Wings/Kings, (which I unfortunately didn't pull the trigger on).

Just for the record, after the games of 10/27, there have been 125 games played in the NHL. 27% have gone into OT, (34).

My record so far:
1-3 +.025

Can you post the link for the spreadsheet again. Thanks anyone?

I can't get on the spreadsheet...a internet explorer pop up comes up and kicks me off.

But I'm on Montreal -.5 in regulation -110
and Philly over 5.5 -129

Concept is good for sure. However, I think you have to play them all or none. I would however, leave out NYI and Atlanta on road and also leave out Wings at home.

Or perhaps take something like the top 15 defensive teams and only play those when they play each other?

I'm just trying to come up with the best formula rather then trying to choose games.

Good Luck VV!!!

Will be tailing you tonight Vic. I tried these for a few weeks last year and got crushed. Seems like more are going to OT this year. Where do you get your OT lines? My odds are slightly higher for Tor/NJ +350 and Det/Ana +320 at BetUS.

I got all of mine at 5dimes this morning. The Wing/Duck's line has been climbing and presently at +345. I definitely should have waited but from my experience the OT lines generally drop during the course of the day, not rise.

I use Bookmaker and 5dimes for my 3 way lines. Bookmaker rarely beats out 5dimes.

Let's cash one of these tonight!
