I'm in early stages of thinking about leaving them, but part of me says that all phone companies are about the same.

Expensive but I live outside of a big city and it gives me the best coverage by far

I've been with them a long time as well. I feel like they are the best, but probably not the cheapest. I think its indisputable that their coverage is the best.

They probably all don't care for the elderly that ask questions, which they figure the younger generation knows when it comes to smartphones. Will see in the coming weeks.

had Verizon for a LONG time but switched(3 lines) to Xfinity Mobile(Comcast) about 9 months ago. Comcast gave us $150 per line to switch and bill is now around $80 a month(1 line is unlimited($45),other two are $12 per GB) instead of close to $200. Supposedly Comcast uses Verizon towers so service is the same. Note: Also have comcast internet and cable.

I've never had any company except Verizon, that I can recall... Possibly when I lived in other states LONG ago. While they (Verizon) are probably the undisputed best for coverage, their in store customer service was terrible this week.

I was in the industry for many years (a while back). You get what you pay for. While VZ is the most expensive (ATT may be the same or a close 2nd) it is also the "best". I have VZ now and travel the US for work. It has the best voice and text coverage, best 4G LTE coverage and some of the fastest speeds. I hate them (almost as much as comcast) but if you travel its the way to go.

If you dont travel, as long as T-Mo covers you area, they would be a #2 for me.

If price is the #1 motivator, Cellular One or Straight Talk is the way to go.

Thanks for this info...I'm a senior and wanted to get my first smartphone... Verizon (chat) said they did not carry either of the top 2 phones listed as easiest for a senior to learn to use.. So I found a phone named Jitterbug Smart 2.. My reading the internet was that it was not only the easiest for a senior to learn on.. (The interface is extremely user friendly AND it's on THE VERIZON Network--Yippee, I'm thinking) Into Verizon I go and am almost totally ignored and pushed out the store as they never heard of it. Today I called the company that makes it. Greatcall! I was told that they use the exact same towers that Verizon has, but the phone doesn't come from them.... Learning the hard way I guess..

I'm wondering what it means "to use the same towers as Verizon"... My bad for forgetting to ask.. Has anyone here ever heard of "Greatcall"?
