I have a couple of partners and we want to get in touch with an owner of a restaurant and see if he's interested in selling.

Get my email address from one of the mods if your interested.

you don't need an attorney yet. Is he local? Can you just go to the restaurant and talk with him? If he expresses some interest, then you would need an attorney to prepare an LOI and advise on structure and contracts.

I know I don't need a lawyer yet. Just want to get something to the owner (who I don't know at all) and let him know we're serious by going this route.
