Do players on the DL get tested or are they part of the testing pool in MLB? Is there anyway the public knows which players are being tested?

In other words, has Barry Bonds been tested for steriods this year?

everyone is tested at random throughout the entire year, not just during the season...they even have to tell them if where they are going on vacation in case they are selected to be tested.

I will believe your conspiracy if Sammy Sosa come off the DL and starts hitting homers but then the season ends before he can be tested again

Yes all MLB players get tested either once or twice a year at random times during the year. For example they may not test Sosa since he is on the DL but MLB has the right to test him if his name comes out.

I believe Bonds has already been tested twice this year. Obviously, both times he was on the DL. Each player gets one mandatory test per year, and up to five random ones. Bonds was the first Giant to be tested twice this year. I'm not sure if he has been tested a third time in the past two months or so...

Yes, this is straight from a major leaguer. They must notify MLB of where they are at pretty much all the time during the offseason for testing reasons.
