Ever since I was 16, I have found concerts to be mesmerizing and a haven to escape from the daily grind. I consider myself to be fairly objective when it comes to rating a particular musical act.

With that being said, I have to say last nights Roger Waters concert at the MGM Grand here in Vegas was the ultimate #1 concert I have ever seen in 33 years of attending concerts.

If Roger Waters is planning to make a stop in your neck of the woods, do not hesitate to go, even pay extra for tix, you surely will not be disappointed. It's a must see show even if your not a big Pink Floyd fan.

Did anyone else attend this show in Vegas last night and if so will you add your comments?

And - what is your #1 concert you've ever witnessed live in person to date??? ...

I'll close by echoing Jack Buck's call after Kirk Gibsons homerun in the WS several years ago---"I can't believe what I just saw" !!!

I saw the concert in West Palm Beach and it was amazing. Quadrophonic sound kicked ass and if you closed your eyes you would swear you were hearing the CD (Dark Side of the Moon). However, the only I didn't like about the show was Roger should just shut the fuck up about politics and play the music.

Ya I've seen Roger Waters a couple few times and thinking the same thing about his political views.

Considering he;s English, whats is it to him.

Great show though, when he does "Welcome To The Machine' the whole building vibrates!

To be objective, Roger Waters also bitched about Bush's puppet, Tony Blair, as well...but in no way did any of this detract from what was truly an amazing spectacle.

I've seen him a few times in the last 4 years as well. Wish he wasn't playing the whole Dark Side this tour. I know its great, but its so overplayed. Rather hear some more obscure floyd or solo roger stuff. Amused to Death and Pros and Cons of HItchhiking are great Roger Waters albums.

Much easier to jack up prices to the masses instead of trying to sell to the hardcore fans his solo stuff. Pros and Cons is a great album.

Rush has played the same stuff for 25 years?

Guess that means the NINE songs they are playing this tour off the new album are "the same stuff."

I've seen Rush 8-9 times from about '83-'98, and it's always abou the same...always a very good show , just not much has ever changed....

So how many of those 8-9 songs will ever reach the "airwaves and crackle with life"?

:youmad: Show me don't tell me, I've heard it all before

Rolling Stones ---- In A Leauge Of There Own !! Nobody Even A Close 2nd !!

No. Back on the Steel Wheels Tour, Lenny Kravitz was head-and-shoulders better than the Stones. They seem to mail it in much more nowadays for the cash grab.
