Perhaps had HC Kelly run the ball more, Blount would have been too tired to throw a punch. That had to have been the worse job of coaching i've seen in a while. Shame, because he won't come back to school he'll just go to the NFL or drop out and go play in the new UFL. He would do better to do this and raise his draft stock for the NFL. I hope it's not true

That is a good point. Blount should drop out of college immediately and join the UFL to try and regain some of his draft stock. I can't imagine that he has an important major anyway since he could not qualify academically for Auburn. In his best interest, he should join the UFL immediately.

kid's a juco thug. ran his mouth all week, couldn't back it up. watch the video...see how fast he started backpeddling after he threw the punch? a real man, there.

Do what u want to the BSU kid, but he didn't punch anyone. in fact, i think one reason why the WAC may not take any action is because the BSU kids were smart enough not to retaliate...

you want him in the nfl? you can have him...

Oregon had to move the big stick swiftly on this one, after just about everyone saw it on nat'l tv. A guy like that is liability every time they go out there, good move IMO.

The fact is, the dumbass (Blount) was already on his second chance with the University and no, it's not a "tough break" for the kid, the kid is a thug.

He was already on a second chance and after he had to be restrained by several officers to leave the field, he earned a full year suspension imo.

I hope the punch was worth it.

I hope so too. A lot of this came down because of the cheap headshots a couple of Boise players leveled against a couple of Oregon players last year.

If there was anything good that came from all this, it's now about football at Oregon instead of getting their licks in and getting even. It should NEVER have been a cause for any kind of retribution to begin with. Revenge is a dish best served on the final scoreboard, but it didn't play out that way. I think the cheap shots took precidence over just a simple case of avenging last season's loss. That's very bad for the heart.

In my own defense, I never heard a word out of Blount's mouth this past week before the game. Had I known how he was stirring the pot, I most certainly would have tried to middle the game and split my wager. Mouthing off NEVER helps a team win a game. If anything, it serves to motivate their opponent. That was a stupid thing that he did, not just the sucker punch, but his mouth and his attitude stunk up his team.

Blount is a primitive thug. He deserves the maximum penalty. Let this be an example to all college athletes. Zero tolerance.

If he played college hockey - he'd be suspended the next weekend automatically and that's it. I think a couple games would have been appropriate.
