Expected this line to be OSU +3.
Many will point to the short week for OSU and how this is a classic let-down spot. Perhaps, but word out of Corvallis is the kids got valuable experience outplaying last-year's national champion for 59 minutes and are extremely confident coming out of a brutal loss, another classic "come from ahead" loss to put on Mike Riley's mantle.
Boise State lost a ton of talent from last year's squad and they will not see a defense as big and strong and fast as OSU's. On the flip side, OSU's offense just got done playing against one of the best defenses in the country, and now goes to play against a much smaller, somewhat slower defense.
It is still the PAC 10 vs. the WAC, (For those of you east of Colorado, that is like the Big 12 vs. the Sunbelt). And while Boise State is extremely well coached, the talent level top-to-bottom is nowhere near an upper echelon Pac 10 team.
OSU will put up 30+ points at Boise State, we'll have to wait and see if BSU can put up 7.5 more, but I REALLY LIKE OSU's chances for an outright win.
One caveat...watch the injury report and check Derek Anderson's status. If he goes he will throw for 400+ yards....no way BSU's secondary or pass rush can match LSU's.
