OK jimmymo, you stole my thunder. (just kidding)
I was going to do a write-up on this one later but since you brought it up I'll do it now.
Let's get the stats out of the way.
-Oregon averages 290 passing yards against teams giving up an average of 234 yards.
-Oregon gives up an average of 282 passing yards against teams averaging 230 yards.
-ASU averages 252 passing yards against teams giving up an average of 235 yards.
-ASU gives up an average of 271 yards against teams averaging 242 passing yards.
In other words, both teams are good passing teams with bad pass defenses.
I think one reason this line may be so low is that ASU averages 19 points per game. This includes the games when QB Walter was not in his groove. The last game against USC, Walter regained some of his form to pass for 305 yards. Now that Walter has regained his form look for him to pass for another 300+ yards.
Previous scores-
2002:
ASU 45, Oregon 42
2001:
Oregon 42, ASU 24
I see no reason why this game should be any different than previous years.
