Be careful though... if you don't know what you are doing, you can lose a lot of money ....stay away from margin accounts!! This was an expensive lesson for me.

I like this place though and they have lots of informative tutorials for the beginning investor.

Most brokers such as TD Ameritrade and Scottrade don't allow day trading. There is a site called Interactive Brokers that will allow day trading but I believe you have to have a minimum of $25,000 in your account.

scrape up a little more and ill teach you to trade the emini sp 500 market.

i trade it all the time and have for the past couple of years..

i dont trade individual stocks, just this market and it is technically a commodity...

you can open an account for $1000

but your chances of success would be small, even with my help...

ESH09 is what i am currently trading..... its the march emini sp 500...

overnight margin for each contract is $5000 but there are many ways to beat margin calls in this market...

forget trading walmart, this is more what your looking for...... make it whether the market goes up or down, i just need it to move, direction does not matter..

30 days of free trades on Ameritrade or sometimes they just give you 30 free trades or something. Otherwise I think they are $10 each. I got flagged/warned for daytrading or something there once.. I think you can only buy/sell so many stocks within a certain period of time... I forget how it works. Otherwise you have to be licensed as a daytrader...

I'm have some in my Ameritrade account but after getting pummelled last year (margin calls etc) I am going to focus on metals. I bought some gold last week. It was kind of exciting. I don't have enough knowledge to be playing around in the stock market too much at this juncture.

Good luck.
