Not customary for us to lay 1½ goals in a playoff game but the chances of the Oilers doing anything here are slim. The Canes badly outplayed them in Edmonton and had Carolina not spent about half the game in the penalty box they likely would’ve won the last game by four goals. Furthermore, the Oilers can’t do anything at all because the Canes have made all the right adjustments and Edmonton looks like they don’t belong. The Oilers power-play has been atrocious and that’s an understatement when you consider the five-on-three’s that they’ve failed to capitalize on. What we do know is that the Canes are much more dialed in than the Oilers in every aspect of the game and Cam Ward is beaming with confidence. The Oilers are playing like they know they can’t score on this guy and thus, they probably won’t. Everything the Oilers try is not working and we’re calling it lights out for the visitor and it likely won’t be close. Play: Carolina –1½ +1.55 (Risking 1.5 units).

Those are the only ways Carolina can cover the -1.5, and not go over 5.5

Any ideas on the liklihood of these scores occuring, preferably expressed as a percentage ?

I guess around 25%. I doubt Edmonton gets shutout.
