One game sticks out big this week. The Miami Dolphins are 3 point chalk against Buffalo.

I believe after two weeks of the season that there is tremendous value siding with Miami. Too many people are being swayed onto the Buffalo bandwagon and ripping the Dolphins for losing to Houston (albeit an inexcusable loss). If this had been week one the Dolphins would have been about a 6 point favorite.

Although I am not a Wannstedt fan, the Phins have gone 14-3 at home during the regular season the last 2 years (plus the Houston game). This is a team that was a pre-season favorite to represent the AFC in Super Bowl just two weeks ago. Now there is talk that has Wannstedt fired and a possible .500 season. I don't think so.

Although Buffalo has played well, I am not overly impressed with the competition. I think New England will be an up and down team all year and Jacksonville is simply looking toward the future. Buffalo is 2-6 straight up in Miami their last eight trips and although the game will be played at night it is extremely humid in Miami right now and that could cause some fatigue.

I look for the Dolphins to make a statement here. Something like 27-13

Miami -3 is a strong play.

One thing I would be concerned about. I think Miami's defense may be in bigger trouble than you think.

Miami has given up more passing yards than any other team, and it's not like the Texans and Jets have formidable air attacks.

They also have 0 sacks. If they don't get pressure on Bledsoe, they lose, period. You can't win if you let Bledsoe sit in the pocket and pick his spots. They must improve the pass rush but I'm not sure they will.

I really don't think Miami can shut down Buffalo this week. Buffalo will put up 20 to 30. Can Miami keep up?

I would not consider Miami a strong bet here. Although I don't see very many strong bets this week anyway, so maybe it's the best one out there. Just some food for thought.

Domination by the both defensive squads, the Phins just cranked it up a notch. An impressive home victory against a team with many weapons. Miami played up to their competition tonight.
