vegas only wins if the public wins every now and then, and keeps on gambling. vegas is perfectly content to just collect the vig tonight with such a high-volume game. they will wait for other games to fuck with us. Better team, better coach, bigger team, faster team, psychological edge...the list goes on and on. as soon as USC goes up by 10 or so, the feeling of "oh fuck, here we go again" will be palpable in every corner of the shoe, and the trojans will feast on the sweet tears of buckeye misery, which will be welling up even before kickoff..OSU has been here before!

Problem is, Vegas doesn't throw the ball. Vegas doesn't run the ball. Vegas doesn't score touchdowns. Vegas doesn't kick fieldgoals. Vegas doesn't commit turnovers. See where I'm going with this? You can have ALL the resources in the world and all the stats, number crunching and quantitative figures, but you absolutely cannot predict (or accomplish) all of the above. In the end, the players play the game and that's what determines the wins and losses.
