WOW.....I didn't think I'd find a play tonight in the NHL with only two games on the slate......

YTD Posted Plays for the NHL 1-0 +1.0 Units +$1000

Tonight.....Montreal @ Vancouver Over 5 1/2 Totals Goals $510.00 to win $500 @ Matchbook and $530 to win $500 @ 5Dimes= $1040 to win $1000

I like this because........I flipped a coin and the coin told me so........JUST KIDDING!!!!!

Montreal skated well last night and after looking through the box score, there were no extra heavy minutes put in by anyone, although a couple of defenseman put in 21 but that is normal for a "D"......so the Canadians should still have plenty of juice left in the tank. Montreal is quick and can skate and generate some "quality" shots on net.......looking at them to find two or three goals....

Vancouver........Is one of those teams at home that finds a way to score 3 goals.......not always pretty.....but they seem to find a way to do it. So far this season, Van has lost all three games but not for the lack of scoring and certainly not for the lack of shots on net. They generate plenty of chances and they should be way up for this game as they try to avoid going 0-4 on the young season. The question is......Has anyone seen R. Luongo's glasses?????? Van has let in a ton of goals this season.

Tonight-both teams start their best goalie normally I say......no play on an over with two good ones going......but Luongo is struggling and did anyone know that over the last 18 or 19 games that Casey Price has played on the road, with him in net they have given up 3 or more goals in like 15 or 16 out of those last 18 or 19. (the numbers might not be exact, but you get the idea).

I do think this game will resemble last night Montreal game at Calgary......and Montreal does have a chance to win...matter of fact...I thought long and hard about taking the Habs with that big +money (+165)......but that Vancouver team should come out fighting mad.....so I'll stick with the over.......looking at 4-2, 4-3, 5-2 but I don't know who the victor will be.....I was shocked when I looked up those numbers on Price......I hope I read through all the right.....or maybe I'm the one who needs glasses!

Just my thoughts on my play........Good luck to everyone

I doubt the game will resemble LN in Calgary.
Nucks don't have the scoring punch of Flames

The Nucks shots are high because they have been behind in all 3 games.....usually by more than one.
Thus they push and get shots but give up more chances.
Game plan for Nucks is to bore the shit outta ya tonight.

Still,I never met an over I didn't like.
May tail......after Twins/NYY

Good point Coaster......I agree the Nucks don't have the firepower that Calgary has.....but it seems at home they manage 3 goals more often than not. You are so right......they play that "bore the heck out of you game"......I call it ugly.......

You are also correct in saying that they generated all those shots because they were behind......I agree......but I'm counting on Montreal to force the action a bit especially after they lost last night and played pretty good.

Yep, Vancouver is one of those teams that I won't go pay to see. Even if they won every game, but if the score was going to be 1-0...........I wouldn't pay to see them. I see you are up in Vancouver and I imagine you have a good handle on the Nucks team.....for better or worse....!!!

Good luck with your future picks

Follow up on the game......

Montreal 1 Vancouver 7 = 8 This was a Winner

Current: YTD NHL Posted Play Record 2-0 +2 Units +$2000 :money8:

This game falls under the category of I was wrong with my thinking but still was able to cash the ticket. What I expected of Vancouver and their ability to score 3+ at home did come true. They also played most of the game with passion, a passion a team plays with when they are tired of losing and want to win.

Where I was wrong, was with my counting on Montreal to score a couple or three goals in this game. They did not. As for Price giving up 3 goals or more in his away games.......it just happened again. Not all his fault tho. On the whole, Montreal didn't play as well as I expected.

As we all know, or should know....there will be many games that we win that we were wrong with our capping and still cashed the ticket. There will also be games that we are right in our capping and find a way to lose. But in this arena of wagering on sports......ANY WIN IS A GOOD WIN!

Good luck to everyone in their future picks.........Time to get some sleep.....and do this all over again tomorrow
