That was one of the most obvious examples of point shaving that I have ever seen in the NFL.

The Eagles are pathetic.

why so? They move up to the 6th pick if they lose/lost

Then be transparent. Start Sudfeld instead of Hurts.

Don't pull some shady sh** on three consecutive drives in the 3rd quarter.

Sudfeld really made a hell of an effort trying to recover that fumble.

Eagles went for it on 4th and goal with Jalen.

Jalen was 7-20 so it wasn't like he was lighting it up out there. They still covered in the end too.

More like draft shaving
Put his team in the worst position to win when it mattered most
Didn't tell his team to lose
But the players on the field gave them less of a chance

Again, it wasn't Peterson's idea

I’m assuming he’s implying came down from ownership

Well Pterson flat out was asked and he said it was completely his idea, Nate had been there 4 years, and wanted to give him a shot.

Which tells me Peterson was riding Wentz as long as he was knowing Hurts wasn't much if any better. I am not sure why people keep avoiding the elephant in the room on that team, they have old talent and have drafted extremely poor. When jeffery and Jackson our your premier receivers with Ertz and Goedert at TE and outside of that you have other teams practice squad type players, then a geriatric offensive line, then its not just the QB.

Yes they are but if it was a gambling thing the players did not know it, the players on the field played hard.

Pederson said Sudfeld was going to play, the public bet this up from 2 to 6.5, no one shoulda lost money betting on the WFT unless you waited for it to get to 6.5 for some reason, and if you’re going to risk putting money on the eagles ML in that situation you have to deal with the consequences. Teams tank all the time late in the season for various of reasons and this weekend was no different. The Steelers tank job was going to screw over Baltimore, Miami, or Indy.....Miami got the bullet. Eagles did nothing different than what’s been going on for years, this is getting blown up because NBC wanted the NFC east ratings despite knowing the Eagles were playing for nothing

What else did you expect him to say???

He was being a good soldier, and kept his job by doing so. Those decisions came from above.

Exactly

What do people want him to say?

Im pretty sure Sudfeld was told similar. Don't score any more points and you have a job next year.

There are ways to say things that would be him taking the bullet and not be so certain. The way he said it and the exact words he used, I fully believe it was his decision.

As I've already mentioned, what once was a well ran organization, has now turned to a dumpster fire anyways. Greatest example is Jefferies, Jackson, and then the plethora of practice squad receivers, geriatric offensive lineman, and a stable of not good running backs to go with everything you have. This is an example of what a "random" super bowl win will do for you. They started to become good and started to get later draft selections and they didn't know how to handle it. They have not done well in coaching players up, have held on to players who were good 5 years ago to long, and wasted a bunch of money in doing so. Their division has all passed them over, sadly including the even worse ran organization, The Cowboys.
