and I am not talking passing either, I am talking total yards. This is unbelieveable they didnt get torched one time this year. This seems almost impossibile.

I thought this was amazing 5 games ago. It gets more amazing every week. I wonder when or if that has ever happened in the modern game.

I do stats every year and one of the things I look at is yards per play and I dont recall a team allowing less then 4 yards per play for an entire season and this years Steelers have done that. Would love to know if anyone has ever did that either.

Anyone know if either one of these is true?

The 79 Bucs had the best yards per play ever at 3.890. Steelers were 3.897.

Says a lot about defense. The top 3 defenses are all still alive.

Thanks. I would say when put in comparison to the league average the Steelers are the best, yards per play has went up a little thru the years but either way great info and very surprisng the 79 Bucs defense was that good being the fact they just became a franchise 4 or so years earlier. Damn that is impressive

Uh-oh. Chargers up to 290 yards in this game and if they get the ball back will probably make it. They had around 150 total yards going into the 4th quarter.
