Omnivorous FROG's NFL preseason thread...

Decided to start a thread, with the intention of sharing information about personel or coaching angles, in a rapid manner. It is not to debate if it is prudent or not to bet preseason. If you want to place a pick along with info, all the better. It has no tracking value.

I am going to work preseason, pretty hard. Do not bother with the your a fool FROG, I already know it. No pissin matches, no cluttering, you have info, share if you can. In my mind there is more opportunity with line movement, steam galore and smaller limits to catch some very nice numbers. Probably more in preseason than any other time. I don't fish when they are not biting. Work with me here. If someone wants to repost D.B. info for those who do not have it, feel free. I may do same. You don't want to be last in line when the buying starts. Juice off days, reduced juice or offscreen numbers also welcome. Keep it clean, please.

Seriously, I jumped on Panthers thread as my opinion is negative, but there is no doubting ESQAJM or whatever it is, and hopefully you all prove me wrong.

This is the big NFL showcase game overseas this year so each of them will probably play a series. After that it's backup city. Who is Indy's backup QB these days?

What's up with the NFL season gettign started overseas at 5AM int he morning anyways? Almost as bad as the Yankees- DRays opening day in Japan.

Latest is Edgerringate. Is he going, he says the closest to Japan he gets is Benihana. Good line, I am jealous. But no one is interviewing FROG so Edge gets the opportunity to crack. Slight distraction on a huge pain in the ass game. Billed as exciting Peyton vs. Vick showdown, doubt either plays much more than 1 series, 1 score or 1 quarter. Vick has been brutal in camp, worse than last year. Footwork and accuracy. Real regression. No depth on D-line, could be a factor, but squads have the worst backup QB's imaginable. Toyko Dome. How many boring Godzilla references we will hear? Let us know any solid QB rotations, or gameplan thoughts.

Atlanta backup QB Matt Schaub was outstanding in the exhibitions last year. If he and Sorgi get the bulk of the action that's a big edge to the Falcs, FWIW.

That is true, and Vick might get chased around for one series. Dungy looking more to evaluate young talent. Backups and roster fringe guys. Falcs looking mighty thin defensively. Any coaching gameplans out there?

You guys might wanna look at teams that were bad last year due to injuries along with teams on the hot seat. They tend to want to do more in the preseason to reassure their fans or want to test their new draft picks.:howdy: :howdy:

Line dropping steady. Would not be surprised this goes to pick. Crappy Indy backup QBs and Dungy to go deep on talent. A nothing game to Dungy. If this thread was in place we may not have missed the 3. If pigs could fly. So now we have crappy 2. But in goof games like this, coaches will go for the 2. In fact, more lame conversions are tried in preseason than any other time. So 2 is not exactly a dead number here. I may look for cheapest juice and get some.

Frog, I read somewhere yesterday that Dungy is playing his 1st team O for about 15 plays and the D slightly longer. The starting C is out, and 8 guys are hurt - many won't make the trip. Nothing on Atlanta.

OK. Time has come, Dungy going short, maybe 15 plays for starting offense. Center out. Maybe 20 for Defense. Injury list huge, tons of vets. Alt been screwed as their practice field was ripped up and repaired, so starting units may see a half, just to get the reps. Not too bad of injury list. Edge to make trip, they really pressured him on this one. Bought a lot of +2 and took +1.10 money line. Might keep it, pk and 1 now.
