I know people are dying to lay goals with the Sens, but this line has fallen too far at this point. 145 or slightly less is a more fair no-vig price for this bet and at -140 I believe it has value.

Once again most of the numbers I got today are better than the current numbers out there. Detroit -125 went up (though they did dip a bit down to -122 first), Calgary +133 is a great price, and Toronto is really just a line value play at +1 1/2 -140 (obviously someone else agreed with me as the -140 went back up to -146 about 10 minute later). Only real miss was Edmonton at +120 last night, better lines were/are out there today. But that's the foundation right there, make good plays at good numbers.

Speaking of, Pitts number at +123 is decent, but I'm gonna have to lay off that one still and pass unless the line really goes out of control. I guess I just want to see a little bit more of the Penns before trying to figure ot just how bad they may or may not be.

Well fuck me AGAIN!

Toronto +1 1/2...they take a 2-1 lead halfway through the game, I figure it should be hard to blow this play...now a few minutes later it's 4-2 Ottawa because they gave up THREE quick goals?! WTF?!

Oh, and Detroit has given up their 1-0 lead as well. Gonna be yet another long night...

Finally catch a few breaks today...

Toronto comes roaring back to cover the +1 1/2 goals. Calgary gets hammered, but Edmonton comes back from down 2-0 with 3 unanswered.

So 2 good breaks today. And that's 2 more than I've gotten so far this year! Overall still a losing day though, tough since my weightings make it a little worse.

Detroit -125 2 units loss
Calgary +133 2 units loss
Edmonton +120, +128 1 unit each win
Toronto +1 1/2 -140 1 unit win

So -1.02 units today with the weighting, but if you flat bet these you'd come out even. Not sure if my weighing is really helping me at this point, I may decide to do the old 2 record deal and keep track of both weighted and flat bet records.

FYI, I have indeed been quite successful betting hockey in the past. I put little weight in that now though with this "new" NHL. Some of my methods simply might not translate (especially my totals method which was my number one moneymaker before). But I still believe in playing good underdogs at good numbers. I hope the dogs start really barking soon!
