I tried this in another thread, but it slipped unnoticed.

Just curious if anyone has seen that Bodog isn't even offering an Ole Miss BCS championship future, which lumps them in as part of "The Field" bet...which is currently paying out 60/1. Way too high for a team that will likely be ranked in the preseason Top 10...for reference, Sportsbook is currently offering Ole Miss at 20/1.

I've already bet "The Field" once but might add to it...however, when I bet it Bodog didn't give me a list of all the teams that they DO offer futures on, a.k.a. the ones that aren't included in "The Field". I'm worried that if Bodog adds an Ole Miss future sometime in the near future, that my Field bet will somehow no longer include them, even though they weren't listed at the time I bet it. Does anyone familiar with betting futures know if there's a way to confirm the teams that are NOT included in "The Field"?

BetUS has them at 20 to 1 . . . .

"The Field" is always any other team not listed in the odds. You should be alright . . . . . . if they do add Ole Miss later, I would call them immediately and protest with them.

I hae neer heard of any legit book changing the teams in the field after it is announced. I think you should be fine.

That's good to hear. But if true, it raises the question of why Bodog would choose to leave Mississippi out of their BCS futures. Plus, Bodog isn't the only one doing it. The Greek has a list of futures that doesn't include Ole Miss, but they have the Field priced at a much more reasonable 20/1, which makes a lot more sense to me.

Most of the people I have talked to, including people in Vegas, have the field at 20/1, and Mississippi is the tease for the field. That is to say, they are the team that the books hope to attract people to take the field wager. If you noticed, the Greek had Alabama and LSU at 20/1 also, the same odds as Mississippi.

Bodog has since taken their CFB lines down for a few days and when they reappeared, "The Field" was down from 60/1 to 25/1...so needless to say, they realized their mistake AND I'm happy I got in early.
