Anticipate a very intense game between these two team tonight. Denver continues to play well under Karl and actually are beginning to show they not only have enough talent and depth offensively but decent defensive prowess as well with Camby, Martin and Buckner. Quality second team rotations as well with Boykins solid in place of Miller, Hilario able to spell either forward or center, Person coming in sharp shooting and Buckner for defense. This following a strong and talented starting corp of Anthony, Martin, Camby, Miller and Johnson. Nuggets were actually trailing 75-73 before holding the Spurs over 10 minutes without a field goal. That being said, the Spurs are talented as well and certainly experienced enough and have been in this type of position before in past years to play all out tonight, so the Nuggets must bring their top game tonight. Media interviews have indicated that the Spurs felt they were not intense enough in Game 1 and have been focusing on matching the Nuggets intensity tonight. One concern, however, is the actual health and limitation of Duncan. In Game 1, he clearly could not post up as usual, could not elevate and thus his shots were short and low, and couldn't rebound or run as well as normal. No doubt, he will give all that he has as will Parker, Ginobili, Mohammed and Bowen. The bench is not so deep but Horry will be solid with lesser contributions from the remaining players. Based on the intensity expected, a game like this has the potential to be close provided the Nuggets are prepared mentally. Expect to see a great deal of defense tonight but difficult to call the total as the referees could always make the difference depending on how they call the game given the banging the players bring to the floor. Slight lean to the Nuggets. Good Luck All.
