Oldmans Picks For Tuesday 1/13/04

Coming off a very nice 3-0 day yesterday, winning outright with three dogs, Providence, Syracuse, and Air Force. We continue today to turn to college hoops and once again find some interesting match-ups.

1* Florida State -2.5 Seminoles have continued to play hard nosed defense against quality opponents. Although a slight conference road favorite, prefer their level of play to that of the current form of the Tigers.

1* Wake Forest +4 Deacons an extremely talented team that can play with the best in the country. Duly respect Texas squad that will do damage in the Big 12, but prefer to take the points in a game featuring two quality teams.

1* Mississippi State +1.5 Bulldogs are a very sound quality team in a role as a conference home underdog. A team that continues to find ways to win. Nothing but respect for Kentucky program, but this past weekends game against Vanderbilt was sloppy with a lot of turnovers. If the Wildcats play that way tonight, they will have difficulty winning this game.

mr ted, thkks for posting the plays early...it helps, I can see that Fla State has moved to 3 at some shops, but was still able to find 2.5 at some....

additionally Miss st is downt to + 1 at some shops but + 1.5 is still available...

Glad to hear it. Take your time. As conference play heats up and more games are shown on the tube, it will start to come to you. I am still waiting for the light to go on for me in the NBA, but I must admit my focus is on college. If I happen to catch an NBA match-up that I like some day, I'll post it.
