Have two plays on today's afternoon games and may add later on the evening games. The day starts off with the Miami/Chicago game. As I had stated prior to Game 3, the Bulls match-up nicely with the Heat and hung tough in the first two games with excellent shooting and depth. In Game 3, home court just made them that much better. Sure, Shaq got in foul trouble, but the Bulls were already beginning to show they are not intimated by the Heat at all and believe they can beat them, particularly at home. Also, Shaq, who was hitting his free throws at home was shooting bricks in Chicago. Now we hear how upset he is and the linesmaker opens the number at 2 and it goes to 2.5 and I believe it will be at least 3 or better near game time as everyone expects the Diesel to run over the Bulls. I don't see it that way. The Heat lost their poise at the end of Game 3 and lost sixth man shooter Posey in the process for this game. That makes a short bench even shorter while the young Bulls continue the aerial and ground assault. If you like the Bulls, suggest you wait for a better number. Even if it drops, don't believe it would go below 2. I'll post the current number for record keeping but will be waiting. Hence,

1* Chicago +2.5 (-105)(Pinnacle)

Year To Date Record: 16-14 (+1.93)
YTD Regular Season: 13-13 (-0.05)
YTD Playoff Record: 3-1 (+1.98)

Looking at the Phoenix/LA game, once again as I stated in my previous thread before Game 2, the Lakers, executing under coach Jackson's game plan have cranked up the defense and taken the arc away from the Suns and forced them to hit their shots on the move. Not their game. Plus, the Lakers, led by Kobe dictating tempo and shot selection for both himself and his mates are executing the half court beautifully by breaking down the Suns defense. Last two games have been mirror images of each other as both teams end up in the 90's following the Game 1 being loose as the teams felt each other out. Totals on this series had Games 1, 2 and 3 at 216.5, 214.5 and 212.5 respectively as the linesmaker attempts to adjust. All three went Under and now they post 207.5 as the opener. Many times is the playoffs the oddsmakers can't move the totals fast enough to catch up with the way the series is being played, particularly if they start the series with a bad number. Sense here is that today's game will play into the same mold as Game's 2 and 3. Just can't see either team reaching triple digits in this one, so still appears to be plenty of room in the total. Coming in now on this one as expect the number to drop soon. Hence,

1* Phoenix/Los Angeles Under 207 (-107)(Pinnacle)

Really haven't decided on either a side or total in the Cleveland/Washington game. I posted the Wizards for Game 3 and they surprising blew a comfortable lead to the Cavs for my only loss so far. I have to think about it more. May or may not have a play on that one. May decide to watch for a second half play.

I always handicap the games from a fundamental match-up standpoint. As you know I am keenly aware of The Zig-Zag Theory and particularly it's early success so far, but the theory will not maintain a 75% winning rate as the history table shows. It's nice when I'm on the side of the theory but I don't make my plays based on it solely. For instance, I posted the Lakers in Game 3 when the theory called for a play on Phoenix.

on chicago (ml) and phx (ml) today, both dogs.. only 2 plays that i like, hope at least one can win..

nailed the milwaukee game last night, 1Q/1H and game.. all 3 ML dogs..

ever progressively bet dogs in the playoffs? to get one win... not a team, just the ML dog in each game, until you get a win..

Thanks X for pointing that out. You are correct and I have edited the thread to reflect to 1*. Appreciate your help. Can always find my plays in the Tracker Forum as well.

SSI my friend. How have you been? You're the man always coming up with more creative ideas to turn a profit. As to your question, no I have never progressively bet ML dogs or anything progressively for that matter until I get a win. I just grind away and pick my spots where I think I have a fundamental edge. Keep up the good work. I've been running a daily baseball thread from Wise Guy Moves off my line service. So far, not too bad. Should have moved to a profit this week, but the Kansas City (+123) game was postponed after the third inning with the Royals up 6-1. Oh well, today's another day. We move on.

yeah, Ted you know im always up to something... how did you like my baseball idea this year... playing the road team and laying (-1.5 runs) in a 1-2-4 progression, until they get a win.. currently up (+61.80 units) heading into today, with 5 (4 unit) plays pending today.... wish i had played all of these..

congrats on the moderator job btw, didnt get around to telling you..

I noticed your MLB progression. Hey, no arguing with anything that can produce +61.80 units in less then a month. I hope you hit all 5 of the 4 unit plays today and thanks for the congrats. Appreciate it. Trying my best to help the forums as much as possible. On the weekends, finding myself logging in around 6-7 a.m. and logging out at around 11 p.m. PDT. Enjoying myself but will be heading to Vegas on May 12th for a week.

Pinnacle still at 2.5...they have a big bet on the Bulls, eh?

I wonder if Chicago +700 for the series might be worth a shot?

If the line were to hold at 2.5 or go down, that is a very good sign. Not sure Chicago can win this series as a Game 7 would be in Miami. I think the Bulls can play with the Heat, but if it came down to a final game, it would be difficult. If the Bulls can win today and steal Game 5, then they have a solid chance.

Not in my opinion. Expected the move. May even go to 3.5.

ML has gone from +128 to +148...wow!

That means money is coming in on the Heat to win but not cover. At +3, the Bulls should be near +160.
