Decided to post this early as I see a decided edge both in line and total and am seeing movement on the total already and possibly could see slight movement on the side as well. These will be my only plays for tomorrow and feel they are solid. I will edit this thread at the conclusion of Sunday's games. Hence,

1* Houston +7.5
1* Houston/L.A. Under 178

Overall Unit Record YTD: (176-139.8)(+36.2) 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(10-6)(+10.2) 1* (141-108-5)(+21.0)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (152-114-5) 57.14%

NBA Regular Season Final Record YTD: (17-12-2)(+5.8)
NBA Playoffs Record YTD: (2-0)(+2.0)

Plays are rated 1*-5*

Good Luck All.

Edited record to reflect coming off a 1-0 day yesterday winning with Minnesota.

I thought the line would be closer due to the Rockets' performance last night. However, the Lakers are a public team and I think that may be keeping this spread higher than it should be.

Look to see another close game at Staples.

Good luck oldman.

In the playoffs, past history has shown that the linesmaker is slow to adjust the sides and totals off each game. Generally a half to one point on the sides and slightly more on the totals. This allows for great value as the player can take advantage a number of times before the series is completed. This game is one of those examples. Watch for similiar situations throughout the playoffs. Best of luck to you.

Perhaps then SA at -10 would still be the bet on Monday.

Thanks for the good advice.

In the playoffs, normally the linesmaker adjusts the side a half point to a point on the team that lost the last game feeling that the losing team will be more motivated and make more adjustments in the next game, while the winning team will be comfortable with the manner in which they achieved victory and may not bring the same level of intensity. Thus, the slight drop in the line in the Houston/L.A. game. That being said, many of these first round games were so one sided that many of the lines are essentially the same, such as San Antonio. I will be passing this game and cannot say that the Spurs would necessarily be the team to bet on here. Best of lot to you throughout the playoffs.

Rare Second Half Play. Lakers must win by 5 to lose this play and I just can't see it. This game goes to the wire.

1* Houston +6

Good Luck All.

Thank you very much for such kind words. I cannot begin to tell you that after such a tough night last night, that someone would register just to tell me that I have helped them have a successful year really lifted my spirits this morning. You see, as I have said on these forums before, sometimes it is very difficult for this oldman when selections I release lose as I feel deeply responsible to my fellow posters, members and viewers. The wins just provide a relief as I know that my followers have won and not lost any money. Sometimes, no matter how hard I try, I just can't shake the responsibility I feel. Because I feel this way, I am going to take a break for awhile but wanted to respond to such a genuinely kind comment. It was truly timely and very much needed. While I'm gone, I want to wish my fellow posters, members and viewers the very best of luck in the playoffs and all their endeavors in life. Take care and be well.

Ted: As always your efforts are greatly appreciated and your opinions respected regardless of the out-come. No-one really knows who is going to win, but you sure make us feel like we are on the right side win or lose and that is very important in this game! Again thank you for all you do and look forward to your views again very soon! CASH

OldmanTed: Please do not feel responsible! You should never feel like that! I know surely you can't win them all, I been following you even when we lose. But the truth is that at the end I came out on top following you. I'd rather listen to you than listening to myself. LOL! For sure! Thank You.
