In the NFC Championship, difficult to see Arizona jumping out to a large early lead as they did against Atlanta and Carolina and then being able to focus on the passing game only. Even though the Cardinals have been successful in both playoff games, they are still a one dimensional team and live through the air and with Bouldin back, this should be even more pronunced. They may try the running game with James in the first quarter but suspect with little success so expect the Eagles to dial up a heavy dose of blitzes on long yardage situations. However, even with the blitzes, Warner is likely to get off quick passes to his receivers but he did throw 3 interceptions in the first meeting on Thanksgiving in a 20-48 loss. Meanwhile, the Eagles will test out Westbrook's knee early to see just what he is capable of providing today. Sense here is that the Eagles will end up attacking through the air as the Cardinal defense is vulnerable and offensive line of the Eagles has been giving McNabb all day to find his targets and that is likely to continue today. With both teams likely to test the ground game and find mediocre success, believe this game will be decided through the air and turnovers are an expected possibility. Don't particularly care for either side today but the total appears reasonable. Hence,
3* Philadelphia/Arizona Over 47 (-110) Betjamaica
In the AFC Championship, first thoughts are about defense, however the Ravens are a bit dinged up, specifically Suggs and Rolle. Both these teams can flat out stop the run. Suspect the the Steelers might have a little better success with Parker but it will be a grind. Against Tennessee, the Ravens really put little pressure on Collins and he had plenty of time to find his receivers. Big Ben normally is provided time to pass and even though the Ravens defense is excellent, believe he will have time to find his receivers and have success. Meanwhile, the Raven offense will find it difficult to move consistently and turnovers is a real possibility. Pittsburgh has been able to put up points as long as Ben is protected but did yield 24 to the Chargers last week. Even though these two teams met earlier with a final score of 13-9, believe today, both teams will be forced to look through the air for success. Hence,
3* Baltimore/Pittsburgh Over 34 (-110) Betjamaica
Year To Date Record: 48-40 (+25.55)
5* (5-1)(+19.00)
4* (13-10)(+11.12)
3* (24-25)(-7.44)
2* (2-1)(+1.90)
1* (4-3)(+0.97)
Good Luck Everyone!
