Been waiting for this match-up as #1 ranked Illinois travels to play #19 Wisconsin which has won 38 consecutive games at home. Duly respect Illinois team that racked up some pretty impressive pre-conference wins at home against ranked opponents Wake Forest (91-73), Gonzaga (89-72), and Cincinnati (67-45) in November and December. But that being said, was unimpressed with home effort against #24 ranked Iowa last Thursday, being all out to win 73-68 while shooting poorly. Meanwhile, Badgers continue to play sound, efficient and smart basketball beating pre-conference ranked opponents Maryland (69-64) and Alabama (76-62) and recently conference opponents Ohio State (72-66), #12 ranked Michigan State (62-59), and this past weekend impressively beating Michigan (74-61) on the road. Belief here is that tempo will be controlled by the Badgers and the Illini will have difficulty similar to last week in a slower paced game. Going to side here with the live conference home underdog in a big game. Hence,

My play for this game is the other way.
The Illini is the play here.
The Badgers are a pretty good team, but their top player( Alando Tucker ) is still not at 100%.
This will be the key in the game.
If he was completely healthy I would probably not touch this game.

Go with the Fighting Illini in this one.

I can't wait to watch it tonight.

the line is now at wisky+1 1/2-if i can get a 2 i'm gonna double up-i feel this game is a trap,the books want people to bet the number 1 ranked team at -1.if u just looked at the board and didn't do any capping u would say to yourself hmm the number 1 ranked team laying only 1-looks like an easy one.but the real truth is the line is at 1 cause the books think wisky will win tonight-if the books didn't think wisky could win the line would be at 5 or 6 imo....

I concur with Oldmanted on this play. I think homecourt in NCAA is so important. I think the Badgers get it done here. We saw Rutgers almost beat powerhouse Syracuse in the RAC just last night. 2 ranked teams....take the home team.

Line now currently available at +3. Hard to believe it can climb any higher, but then I must admit, appears to be a large imbalance of money on Illinois. Just a reminder, as I sense the enthusiam regarding this game from the replies to this thread, that this is just one play and was rated by me as 1*. Yes, I have been waiting for this game, but please note that I did not rate this a strong play. I like the play, and even more so with the line movement, but maintain strict money management principles and want to encourage others to do the same. Make your play confidently but wisely and enjoy the game tonight. Promises to be a good one is it plays to form.
