First official bowl release this year although many of you may have seen my comments in various threads responding to inquiries on certain games. Will be brief here as the game is only an hour away. Significant running advantage for New Mexico with Dontrell Moore running behind an offensive line that outweighs Navy by an average of 50 pounds. Lobos a bit more balanced attack as well. Plus, Lobos defensive scheme extremely stout and particularly against the run and the Middies are a one dimensional team using the triple option. Hence,

1* New Mexico -3

Overall Unit Record YTD: (42-31.1-1)(+10.90) 3*(0-1)(-3.30) 2*(2-0)(+4.00) 1*(38-26-1)(+9.40)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (40-27-1) 59.70%
NCAAF Record YTD: (28-23-1)(+3.70)
NFL Record YTD: (12-4)(+6.40)

Plays are rated 1*-3*

Good Luck All.

Jman:

Latest weather update on the game. The sun is shining at the moment and the skys are cloudy. Don't think weather will be a factor but the field might be depending on how soft it is and how good the footing will be. We'll all find out once the game begins.

Hi Ted!

I guess my question just got answered:thumbsup:

Haven't had a good week. But that's about to change. Win or lose, it doesn't matter at least now I can live with the decision I make! Unlike yesterday! Took Oki St like a fool. Today, I still don't know why I took Oki St....sigh! Great to see you posting again!!!

omt,

thanks for taking the time to answer my post in the offshore forum. your class and aptitude for handicapping supercede your modest approach to posting. we are on the same side in this particular matchup and i am optimistic that we will be cashing winning tickets respectively. thanks again for the valuable contribution to this forum and its members. be well and i look forward to further insight from you in the near future.

My apologies guys. Don't normally call a game before it's over, but the loss of Dontrell Moore will make this one very difficult to win. Plus the Middies are throwing the ball more then using the option. We'll need a lot of luck to pull this one out.

Keep the faith Ted. We need New Mexico's defense to tighten up and take advantage of their huge difference in size on the O line.

Well guys, somehow still hanging in there at the half. Even with the loss of Dontrell Moore, replays showing that on the play he was hurt, the play was a forward pass and not a fumble accounting for the Middies getting 7 points, the Middies placekicker getting credit for a field goal which was wide right for another 3 points, the Lobos missing an extra point, then the coach foolishly trying for a 2 point conversion so early in the game to try and chase the points, on the positive side, the Lobos have only stopped themselves with the questionable fumble and an interception. They have not had to punt. Weather is worsening now with more rain and wind. That might force the Middies to go back to the option. Hopefully, the Lobos will still be able to run as they have even without Moore. On to the second half and we shall see.
