Coming off a nice start to the college season and return today with one play. Looking at the Tennessee/UNLV game. Significant difference in the number of returning starters between the two teams and particularly for the Vols as they will rotate two freshman quarterbacks and have lost quite a bit of depth to graduation. Meanwhile, Rebels return a substantial part of their defense and their running game. They return their senior quarterback as well, although expect more of a running attack then an aerial assault. Have lost some line value from the opening line, but still points seem generous in a match-up between a young rebuilding team and a veteran team with a solid defense. Hence,

1* UNLV +17.5

NCAAF Record YTD: (4-1)(+2.90)

Plays are rated 1*-5*.

Good Luck All.

lot of interest in my area in this game ted, ive got several good friends at this game... feeling here is one of uncertainity, talk is of course about the 2 frosh QB's.. Schaffer is supposed to start and he is extremely fast and a very talented athlete.. i tend to agree with your pick, if i make a play at all, it will be on UNLV... im waiting a while on this one, at times i can play against UT with a better line from a local here....... the good ole boys skew it a bit.. im managing my week however and am ahead (with fresno pending), so i wont get crazy.. for the record, i hope UNLV wins outright, im not a UT fan.... (Go Canes)...

Oldmanted,
I have seen many saying that UNLV has a very good defense, along with the young Q.B.'s of UT. Your liking for UNLV's running game is another reason that I am suprised not to see anyone on the Under. First half under 21.5 appears solid based on these assumptions.
What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Best of luck to each of you as well today.

Sure Guy:

I also had thoughts that this might be a low scoring game, and very well might be, but I rarely play halfs and almost never first halfs, so I'm the wrong person to ask on this matter. I'd rather take the full 17.5 and perhaps a little on the moneyline. Best of luck whatever you decide to do.
