Coming off a come from ahead push with Indiana yesterday. Today, my focus is on Game 3 of the Detroit/New Jersey match-up.
As I mentioned in a previous thread regarding this match-up, truly believe the Pistons are the better team and hold the player match-up superiority in all positions except the point guard. That being said however, noticed that the Pistons lacked unexpected focus in the first half of Game 2 as the Nets were able to grab missed shots and get numerous transition baskets before the real Pistons showed up in the second half and clamped down on defense behind a highly frenzied home crowd at that point and went on for a win going away. Now the question is with the Pistons up 2-0, will they start the game with a high level of intensity or a lackluster start. My sense is that they may not be fully focused at the beginning and being on the road will make it more difficult for them against a hungry Nets team. Additionally, there is line value in this game as I believe the linesmaker has over adjusted the number by setting the opening number at 3 or 3.5, where the feeling here is that the opening line should have been set at 4.5 or 5. Hence,
1* New Jersey -3
Overall Unit Record YTD: (180-146.4)(+33.6) 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(10-6)(+10.2) 1*(145-114-6)(+18.4)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (156-120-6) 56.52%
NBA Regular Season Final Record YTD: (17-12-2)(+5.8)
NBA Playoff Record YTD: (6-6-1)(-0.6)
Plays are rated 1*-5*
Good Luck All.
