Well I checked a few things. They're in Costa Rica. They don't even seem to be on the radar of the watchdogs yet. They have bonus deals which lead me to think, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."
I could go to town on that kind of bonus structure at a legit book but I wouldn't risk a deposit at this place. I'm not centering out oklahomasportsbook - I don't know them - I would feel the same about any book with those characteristics. I guess it depends on your style and how much risk you're willing to take. These books have to establish themselves in the industry and show they can make payouts consistently before they get a sniff of my money.
Sportsbook.com, by the way, has a horrible reputation. This forum is littered with complaints about them.

They will get back to you in about 5-10 minutes usually in the daytime
If you email them at night it takes about 20 minutes

Bookies - never heard of them. I generally am VERY wary about playing anywhere except the top 10. In fact I wont play anywhere that isnt a top 10.
With a bonus structure like this this book CANT stay in business. Its just a matter of time IMO. Maybe you get paid now - but there will be a day...
Also, if sportsbookreview and other watchdog sites dont grade them - thats another black mark.
Just my opinion but I WONT PLAY anywhere that I have to worry about anything other than winners.

I have never even heard of this book. I will say that a 30% unlimited bonus should be the red flag. Somehow I get the feeling if I sent them 10 dimes they would not give me $3000 for the bonus and if they did they are out of their minds. OK I would like to clarify a few things here. My name is Mike Montanero and i am the General Manager of Oklahomasportsbetting.com and I am greatly concerned about this thread. I do not usually respond to threads such as this but exceptions must be made here. The poster Okie04 who so generously posted positive things regarding our book, unfortunately is NOT an active player of ours. He opened his account yesterday 03/30/04 and has NEVER posted any monies with us nor have we ever paid him. I will be happy to provide proof of this information to this forums moderator if he so wishes. Okie04's motivation was very cleverly pointed out by awol256 and i would personally like to thank him/her. Basically this Okie04 character has attempted to do nothing more than abuse our refer-a-friend bonus policies by attempting to schill and have others use his name as a referral. As a result Okie04 acct has been closed, he will not get the refer a friend bonus, I am giving it to Mildred instead as he is the one who was hurt the most by Okie04. Schilling is very negative for the industry, we do not do it nor do we condone others for doing it on our behalf. Hopefully Oklahomasportsbetting's honesty regarding this issue, even though I put us a risk by acknowledging that this guy is a schill, will far outweigh any damage done by this whole situation. I have personally spoken with Mildred and explained the situation and hopefully he is satisfied that we will do the right thing. Pay players who win hassle free and offer great customer service and competitive lines is what we are focusing on, not schilling on post boards hoping to attract one or two players. oklahoma seems to be a good book I've been using them for a couple weeks and so far so good, good custormer service pretty good lines and good bonus and promotions, I have yet to make a withdrawal but if all goes well tonight I might make one tomorrow anyway from what i've seen they are a good book.

You know, I considered the possibility that this was a scammer/sucker thing and not a shill job - but I just couldn't believe anyone could get sucked in so fast and easily as Mildred, and just start following the financial instructions of some internet stranger at the snap of his fingers.

just for some clarification...I've been monitoring this beetinguy36 since he was hassleing covers about $200 he won in a contest...something didnt smell right about this guy. Then I saw accusations from some solid posters here that he ripped them off with bets they made via AOL IM. So we banned him from this site.
He has signed back up and has been banned numerous times since...one being 'BigEastFan'. He was banned for running another scam where he was getting people to sign up for sportsbooks, promising them to deposit so they could get a referral also. Long story short, he allegedly didnt come through on his end.
Then another accusation came in that he was posing as a BetWWTS agent and he started taking action/money from a poster here. Long story short again, the poster ended up goin on a hot streak and was stiffed.
Then this OkieSt character signs up yesterday...showed all the signs of the previous names...Asked covers for verification that they were the same ips they all matched.
The Covers admin hasent really been involved...just a hunch I had that the original 'id' this guy had would become a scammer.

The proof I was interested in is that osb is who he says he is. All I see here is yet another brand new identity contributing to this thread (I think that's about 4 altogether now).

I am sure we are the first book in the history of this posting board that has come out against a shiller for our own book!!!! If you dont like books who work like that then thats your perogative.

why is it nobody ever believes a new book can be good ? sure you have your scams and thiefs but once and awhile you can find gems out there not every book is perfect and all books have to earn there reputation but sooner or later everyone tries a new book I always will give a book a shot to earn my buisness I am not gonna send them much money but atleast I give them a shot first and then if there a dud I wont send them anymore money I gave these guys a shot and for me they have been a good out

It seems no matter how we act there will always be skeptics. If paying players within the allotted time frame is shady way of doing business then i am at a loss for words. How can you possibly read anything malicious in paying one player early?!?!?!?!?! Now we are a bad book for having efficient accounting department who processes on time and early in some cases?
Payout REQUESTS are accepted 24hrs a day, meaning you can fill out the request form and accounting will receive it 24hrs a day, if you want to split hairs simply to try and throw mud around go ahead and waist your own time, we are too busy taking care of valued players to entertain your tom-foolery.
If you are all that happy with the books you are at then why are you all so interested in us? We must have something to offer that you like. Or are you now schilling for them by trying to black list us.
I will put it to you this way, if you have never played here then your opinions are exactly that, opinions based on no facts. Players who win get paid hassle free, that is the bottom line, players who have posted here prove that and those are the facts, with exception of Okie.... And yes his acct. is closed so why he is trying to claim bonus $ have no idea, I think we all know that he is few fries short of a happy meal so Mildred please tell him to go away.

I am as skeptical as anyone but this looks like a start up book that is trying to make it. I don't think that this bonus is the best idea but it's not my shop. I think this book needs to be very careful about who they let in because their are plenty of bonus whore who could roll over a huge deposit during baseball with little or no chance of loss.
I think we need to hear from actuall players from this book. If their are any more experienced posters with an account here I would love to hear from you. I hope I am right about this place and wish them luck in a VERY difficult business.

A more experienced poster may not have been the best choice of words. What I meant by experienced poster was someone who has been at this site for more than a week. I think a lot of people or one person with a lot of screen names have joined this discussion to talk about nothing other than this book. You will have to forgive me if it all seems a bit strange. You will have to take me at my word that I was not be malitious at all.
As far as who would send a book 100K. If you were going to get 30K in signup bonuses you might be suprised as to who would do it. There are plenty of sportsbooks that carry players with 6 figure balances.
Would I send them 100K...NO but that does not mean that a bonus whore or a Vegas Syndicate group would not do it for the bonus.
As far as sending 100K to ANY sportsbook. If I had this ammount to send to only one book. I would have no problem sending 100K to....Pinnacle, CRIS, Grande, JAZZ, Cascade, Canbet, Catalina, Olympic, and WSEX. Unfortunatlty none of these books offer a 30% unlimited signup bonus. I wonder why that is?

Shilly - earlier in the thread you state you've been with them for 3 months, and that you've sent them not much money.
Then you go on to state there's no problem getting a payout.

I think my point about this book has been twisted a bit. I am all for the starting and operating of new sportsbooks. If this book turns out to be a solid upstanding member of the gaming community then I will welcome them with open arms. All I am sayin is that with it being a "startup"book people should be cautious. Add to that the fact that they are offering an UNLIMITED signup bonus the red flags just go up. This is not the norm. Books do not offer these types of bonuses because of the reasons I have previously statted. 90% of sportsbooks are "closed to professionals".
If this book thinks that they willl be able to spot a professional from wagers placed on the internet, then I think the owners of this book need to go have lunch with the previous owners of BLUEMARLIN, SIA, WagerWorld, and ACESGOLD to see just how HARD that is. If you guys think you can do it then GOD bless. I am not trying to bash this book. All I am doing is letting people know the risks involved with this book long term. I honestly do wish them the best.

Nonsense. Please post a link to a reputable book which has such a rule.
For example, any of the books which wannabet cites above.
By "reputable book", I'm referring to books on the recommended lists at any of the major "watchdog" sites.
There is also a post currently at Majorwager, called " Discussion regarding OklahomaSportsbetting". I couldn't find a way to link to it - it's in MajorWager's Mess Hall.
And I do note that it could be a case of mistaken identity, as it's a "he said/she said" situation.
wannabet - " I am all for the starting and operating of new sportsbooks. If this book turns out to be a solid upstanding member of the gaming community then I will welcome them with open arms. All I am sayin is that with it being a "startup"book people should be cautious. Add to that the fact that they are offering an UNLIMITED signup bonus the red flags just go up. This is not the norm. Books do not offer these types of bonuses because of the reasons I have previously statted. "
I agree with all of this. I have no bone to pick with osb. The more solid books, the better. And as mvbski mentions above, all books were a startup at one time.
But for the reasons wannabet mentions, and others, I also saw red flags going up.
Note that there's not only an unlimited 30% signup bonus, but unlimited 20% reup bonus, 2 team parleys at true odds if bet at a specific time period, etc.
I agree with mvbski that new books will have promos like these to gain customers.
But it's also true that most of the major sportsbook failures have involved books which had ongoing promos like the above.
Finally - I note above a rule on osb's website - "Professional players or players considered to be abusing the bonus system by any means may have bonuses revoked at the discretion of OSB management.*******"
I've read many discussions on the forums of players being stiffed by books for bonuses.
Having a vague rule as the above - not the part about bonus abuse, the part about "Professional players..." is just looking for a disagreement to erupt.
Wannabet's post above refers to some of the problems with this. There are many others.
Just as brick and mortar casinos bar bj players who are actually suckers, but were either winning big, or were accidentally raising and lower their bets coinciding with the count, so to have online casinos barred sportsbettors who were suckers but - liked some plays which had been steam plays earlier; like to play halftimes; were winning big; etc.
ANYONE can be called a "professional player".
If a REPUTABLE book feels that a player is a "professional" (meaning a winning player), or for any other reason doesn't want their business, they can bar them, BUT a reputable book will also pay them any bonuses due.
Not doing so is just asking for controversy.

This is getting kinda good.
This is one of the strangest threads I have ever read. I don't really understand who is who and what the **** is really going on. What makes this even more strange to me is that I have posted in this thread 5 times. I can't follow who is on whos side or who is the same guy, or any of this. I feel like I need a program to keep track of who is who.
I will say however if you guys are just doing this to get recognized (# of views of this thread. 2254 Thats a lot for those that don't know) it a GREAT IDEA!!!! It worked. So now that you got some free advertising. The next step may be to pull down the UNLIMITED signup bonus. I understand that you will do your own thing, and that is fine. I just think this bonus thing will cause more harm then good.
I was facinated by this thread. A lot of Strang humans in this world.

this thing with farfel/heartman started last week we are in the same nascar contest at the RX and he had a problem with the rules of the contest wich he didnt want to follow so he went crying to the forum well as you can see nobody in this contest agreed with him but the General said screw it and paid him the money, and his first post that was edited was telling me to kiss his ass,and the post he was refering to at racingpub wich is a new forum on nascar was just to let our posters know about 20% reloads there now isnt that a coincidence we are in the same contest and he mentioned a post I made at a new forum for nascar, farfel/heartman is also a poster at racinpub so maybe that is how he saw that post as you can see he even thanked me there but since I called him out at the RX he seems to want to emberass me now if you go to majorwager you will see that he posts all the time in there Nascar forum there so is all this just a coincidence that he saw a post of mine at a little known Nascar forum and we had a beef last week I would say no but please make your own decisions and please go to any forum and look for any comments I have made on OSB and they are pretty much what I said here

I did not see a recant in Russ' statement at all. The thread at MW clearly states that Russ was not on the side of OSB. I have known Russ for a while now, and if he feels that way it is good enough for me He states that according to two sources your book was associated with a untrustworthy group. I will wait and see like everybody else;however, as of right now I am very suspicious. Russ did not assend to the position he has by being an idiot. He knows what he is talking about and I will go with his side of the story.

Just about everything in here is B.S. If you are with a good book like I am why the hell would you even look at anyone else? If you are winning who cares about bonuses because you aren't putting much in anyway unless you are losing regularly. The only reason to consider another book is if you don't like yours. If it works and you get paid on time like I do, don't mess with it; whether it's okiest or Pinnacle.
