Wow.

Texas is officially done now unless a miracle happens and they somehow hold onto their lead over OU in the Harris poll. Even if they do that though OU would probably still leap UT in the BCS overall this week.

OU #2 in Coaches
Texas #4 in Coaches

OU #3 in AP
Texas #4 in AP

Harris? Texas had a 101 point lead over OU going into this week, so this remains to be seen.

I told you guys last night when we were discussing this that Texas Tech lept 8 teams to number 2 after they beat number 1 Texas..I expected OU to do the same thing when they beat number 2 Tech. In the BCS standings and polls, everything is about "what have you done for me lately." And if you can knock off the number 1 or 2 team you can expect to take a big jump. Whether you agree with it or not, that's the way these polls work.

I've got no problem with Oklahoma making that move.....they deserve it. They monkey fucked that team last night and if I'm Cahse Daniels, I am expecting the same treatment in the Conference Championship.

I think Oklahoma and Florida will be a justifiable BCS Championship game because they are clearly the two best teams in the country.

Oh I definitely agree GS, as I was telling the UT fans here to prepare themselves to get jumped for sure after next week at the latest. I wasn't sure if OU would jump UT in the BCS this week, but if they do, there's no way OU can lose ground after facing the #12 team on the road next week while UT has a cupcake at home.

The Harris poll still hasn't been announced that I can find and it'll be interesting to see if UT can somehow keep their Harris lead over OU. If they don't, they'll have absolutely no shot even before next week's results.

It's over for Texas.

OU has jumped Texas in the Harris as well by 21 points and this lead will only increase next week should OU beat Okie Lite:

OU #3 Harris
UT #4 Harris

So Florida and OU split the Harris and Coaches and will be 2/3 in the BCS today. Texas will be a somewhat distant #4.

Pete, I hope you are right. I am worried about the Criminoles this week. Jack Childress will ref the game and there will be a lot of "Hitting to the Echo of the whistle" LT

Computers didnt like OU before the TTU game. That is Texas' last hope to stay ahead of OU.

Wouldn't say they didn't like OU, but they did like Texas twice as much before the TTU game, true. Texas was #3 and OU was #6 in computer average.

That being said, Texas has NO CHANCE now of holding a BCS lead over OU since they're so far behind OU in the Coaches (especially) and now in the Harris too. Even if the computers still like Texas this week more than OU, that will be by the slimmest of margins, and then OU will dominate UT in terms of Coaches and Harris, giving OU the overall BCS edge. OU and Florida will be a super close #2/#3 in the BCS this week.
