I understand that Nebraska is at home and have a 5-2 record, but have they really played better than Oklahoma? Oklahoma has a 4-3 record losing to TCU, UCLA and Texas (big). Adrian Peterson is out for the Sooners but Jacob Gutierrez ran for 173 yards last week so the hosses for the front line are still doing their job.

Does anyone thing Nebraska can win here?

I am all over Nebraska...They may win by double digits IMO. Nebraska is a solid team. OU is just not in sink, AP was their offense, thats it. Bomar can't get the ball to his receivers...the entire team is frustrated and just playing well. It will take an off-season to turn this team around. BOL on whichever side you chose.

BTW, I really like TT as well.

I'm on Nebraska. Oklahoma just isn't a very good team this year, and this is an intense Big 12 rivalry. Nebraska got embarassed last week and should play much better at home this week, meanwhile Oklahoma could've and probably should've lost against Baylor. No way that should happen at home. Nebraska could easily be 5-1 if it weren't for a fumble on an INT against TT. Nebraska should win here, and should enjoy it if they do: Stoops' Sooners won't be down again like this for a long time.

Just one man's opinion, though.

Good feedback guys.

I just get the idea that Okla is a good team on the ropes and Nebr is a bad team playing rope-a-dope. Can Okla be this bad after a good season last year?

Anyone else?

I am also going to be on Nebraska. I anticipate a move back to a pk closer to gametime. I was on UNC last week, and I feel this is the same type of situation. Hesitate to say "trap", but OU seem's too easy.

No offense, but don`t see how OK an be seen as "too easy". For all the reasons stated above I see the opposite i.e. everyone all over Neb. The home field is a big edge here. Having said that, I like OK. Just like last wk when I took NW right out of the box and only got 12, the gm went to MSU - 14 14.5, and I thought "boy I got too eager and on the wrong side", we know how THAT turned out. Same here I took OK Sun. nite @ PK. So far this is the only line going against me. I may have capped this one wrong, time will tell. Not on it too big. Also on TT, and like Col, tho think 8 is a tad high. Best of luck to all.

Just as I did when OU played Texas, I would urge people to move on from this game and find a better one to wager on.

This rivalry has turned ugly since Callahan took over. Before, it was mutual respect and admiration between these two teams. Now they hate each other.

But to add my two cents, Oklahoma's offense is really starting to wake up. Remember, Nebraska only beat Baylor by 9 and Oklahoma put up almost 150 yards more on the Bears D than Nebraska did. After playing against Mizzou's one man offense the three previous years, the Husker defense allowed Brad Smith to totally own them.

This game is too close to call and the line is exactly where it should be. Anyone who puts their money on this game is putting it on a coin flip.

There are better games out there.

OU has about a dozen (no joke!) players in the NFL who were in Sooner uniforms ly. It's tough to replace that much talent at once.

Bad Blood to say the least. Line is close to what i think is right for this matchup.
One has to wonder why the linemaker at Cris FIRST hung up the number of Oklahoma -1? Did he think that Oklahoma was better than the Huskers and them at home?? And if so, why would anyone think that?
Yes i know linemaker was looking for a number that would attract Both sides action. But if he was going to start "either" team at one....why not the Homefield Huskers?

from a lincoln perspective i dont think that there is bad blood. there were some bad things that occured last year but i get the impression around here that that is in the rear view mirror and the focus is on winning a quality rivalry game. as to who wins i must say at this time i dont know. sometimes as the week goes on i can gather a read on the huskers. if that happens i will let the board know.

Folks, Nebraska's QB, Zac Taylor, is from Oklahoma. His father played for the Sooners. Yeah so, you might say. I've been watching this kid all season and he's improved soo much and even in the Missouri loss he was dead on with the receivers but they were dropping the ball, which was a bit unusual. I just don't forsee that happening in a game like this. Too much Husker pride on the line in this one.
Back to Zac Taylor being from Oklahoma. Anyone who has ever played football and has had the privledge of playing their fathers ol' school, you have a tendency to play at your best. It's a small way of showing up to your old man. My opinion is that we will see the best out of Zac Taylor in this game. Zac wanted to play for the Sooners but was never looked at. Time to show them A-Holes, right Zac?
The Texas Tech and Missouri loss demonstrated to me that Nebraska has poise and just does not get into a panic mode when it's down. They don't play with pressure like years past. The coaches have done a really fine job with the psyhcology of this team.
After two in row road trips, this team is eager for the home crowd.
By the way, an earlier post said something about Oklahoma having more yards against Baylor's D. Did you forget that game went into two overtimes (or was it three)? Overtimes will stack the stats.

I'm impressed with what Nebraska's doing. I don't believe Stoops troops are ready for a road trip right now with nagging injuries and less than average effort by the inteior lineman.

I forsee a Nebraska win by double digits. If I'm wrong, then it's pie in my face and a big hole in my pocket.

Thanks Iggy. I didn't realize this.

I think I'll take DEAC's advice and stay away. I originally thought OK was a much better team, especially after seeing Neb struggle throughout the first part of the season.

All that being said, Go Big Red!

I can assure you that after the "Fuckin' Hillbillies" comment, OU fans despise Callahan and is starting to feel the same about the NU program in general. For crying out loud, when the OU fans were throwing oranges on the field during last year's game, Callahan had no idea what the oranges signified. To go from Tom Osbourne, who is as admired in Oklahoma as Switzer is in Nebraska, to Bill Callahan is like trading your Porshe in for a god damn 1985 Yugo.

If OU loses this game, there will be so much value on Oklahoma the rest of the season...it's unreal.

The Baylor overtime last week was a fluke by the stats. OU out first-downed Baylor 28-12 and out gained them by over 100 yards. Those stats do not spell OT.

OU's three losses are to Rodney Dangerfield (aka TCU), UCLA and Texas...those teams are a combined 21-1 SU this season.

They struggled to beat Tulsa who is now 4-1 in conference play.

If they lose at Lincoln, I will play on Oklahoma the rest of the season.

How quickly people forget that OU played in a BCS game four of the last five years, won the Big12 title three of the last five years, played in the national title game three of the last five years and they are 61-8 in regular season games since the turn of the century.

This is a not a program that rebuilds. They reload at place like Oklahoma. And there has been no change with the HC. That means they should have talent dripping out of their ears.

This is exactly the way I was thinking. However, El Iguana said that OU graduated about 12 players last year that are now in the NFL. That's a lot to make up for.
