no reason to call a time out with 30 seconds by Okie St. Believe the coaches told the kids to let them score. Since this game was over they did this to help prop up Oklahoma further for the polls. If you look at the play the Okie St players put minimal effort in.

No reason to run that ball. You covered, you went over. There's 30 seconds left, you have a first down, they can only stop the clock once. Take a knee. But Stoops decides to run the ball. That's classless, irregardless of the result.

Yeah but why did Okie St call timeout with 30 seconds left? Okie had the ball with 2 minutes left and Okie St had 2 timeouts. Why wait until 30 seconds left to start using those timeouts? They let 1:30 run off the clock before using the timeouts. Made no sense. Sucks for Okie St teaser players but honestly believe Okie st let them score as a gift to help in the polls. The game was decided so no real harm except for gamblers.

I think that might come back to bite Stoops in the ass.

Explain to me how trying to win by as much as possible is classless? You do understand that margin of victory is a factor in the BCS system, right? OU is currently behind Texas and needed to do by as much as they could to secure their spot in the Big 12 title game. A win was probably enough to get them in, but why risk it. They should try to win by 20 instead of 13 because there's no doubt that it looks better.

Not classless at all, simply smart.

Yeah because that's exactly what I'd do: Help my hated rival get into the B12 Championship Game :ohno::lol:

Whatever. Why did they suddenly call a TO with 30 seconds left? Did you see the play? Why did the seas part and barely an Okie state defender made an effort? If its a hated rival why didn't the Okie St players dive to tackle the RB? They certainly weren't trying to prevent the TD with much effort. Watch the replay. Do the 2 coaches really hate each other...are you sure?

The coaches could be best friends and Gundy could have wanted OU to score, but you can't tell me that every player on OSU was ok with that. They were just tired. Hell, OU had already scored 54 points...it shouldn't be shocking that at the end of the game they were able to score 7 more.

Seriously, think about what you're saying...it sounds retarded.

Trust me Gundy & Stoops are not friends unless you are talking about Cale Gundy.

Remember the sign 45-35 which made OK nation mad, even Okie st fans too. Even Tex fans said they gonna fly over the stadium this game with that sign. Believe me if they could not up set OK this game , they would help OK get higher point in this BCS system

Don’t matter. If stoops is so lucky to get in the BCS championship he will get embarrassed like he has done many times before

Are you serious when you post this?

Top flight football schools "allowing" an opponent to just walk into the endzone for a meaningless TD?

I think the Cowboys were dead tired and demoralized. No way would Mike Gundy tell his kids to let the Sooners just score a TD like that.

I must echo GoSooners thoughts regarding the utility of this thread.

Cmon GoGo. Even if Gundy and the coaches told OSU to let them score, do you think the players would just let their rival hang up 60 on them and make the game look like a blowout?

The game was MUCH closer than what the score indicates, and CFB fans know that.
